Trummer's Restaurant

Took my parents here for a holiday dinner. The service was impeccable - all the staff members were incredible and attentive. We were seated on the second floor where it was a relaxing and intimate ambiance. The cocktails (the “Titanic” and Moscow mule) were very good. We tried 3 different appetizers; the mixed greens salad, the focaccia, and the baked brie. Each one was very good, the mixed greens salad was our favorite. For the entrées we had beef Wellington (excellent!) and salmon with a side of roasted carrots and baked potatoes. There was not a crumb left. For dessert we had eggnog crème brûlée and a chocolate buche de Noel. The desserts were very light and a great way to end dinner. Thank you for such a special evening!

My wife and I had our ceremony and reception at Trummer's and I cannot understate how amazing it was, all thanks to Victoria and her team. My (now) wife and I had been many times and were always blown away by the exceptional people, food, and drinks. There is so much natural beauty in the small wooded town of Clifton, and being so conveniently located near Fairfax, it made it difficult to consider anywhere else. Victoria and her team were exceptional in every regard, far exceeding our expectations for the entire event; it was the perfect blend of high class and fun. Every one of our guests has found time to tell us what a lovely, one of a kind experience they had. Victoria was amazing throughout the planning process, giving us a wealth of options and plenty of flexibility to suit our changing needs. On the day of the wedding she took care to ensure our DJ and photographer had both the space and resources they needed to get set up. She and her team blew our minds with the decor. The Winger Garden room is beautiful enough on its own, but the morning of the wedding I dropped by with a box of extra decorations and a haphazard description, and they turned it into the most beautiful room I have ever seen. The food was superb, served hot by an extremely friendly and attentive staff, and the drinks were even better, which helped our guests fill out the dance floor. I really cannot recommend this place enough! As a semi-regular to the restaurant I had high expectations, and they were totally blown away. If you're at all considering a wedding in the area, this should be your first stop.

I can't say enough great things about this restaurant, I loved the ambience, and our server Brittany was amazing! I would come back just to talk to her! Let me tell you about the amazing dishes we had: I ordered the rainbow Trout, which was perfectly cooked and came with a great side of Apple slah salad. My husband ordered the steak with a side of vegetables, and it was tender and flavourful period my daughter ordered the wienerschnitzel which which were delicious juicy sections of pork. We had wonderful cocktails and a prosecco toast for my daughter's birthday. Trummers is my new place for special occasions!

Most excellent food! Had the snapper which was perfectly cooked, not dry, very nicely seasoned and excellently portioned with the side. Cocktails were very good and best part of right size portions is room for dessert which was also delicious (smokey apple crostata)! Service was pleasant and perfect. Definitely will date night here again!

I have been coming here for quite sometime. I have eaten here while different chefs ran the kitchen. So I’ve seen the good and the not so good cuisine that comes out of here. I am pleased to say the most recent meal I ate here reminded me why I originally fell in love with this place. The meal was amazing!! Each dish was unique, original, and flavor packed. I’m truly impressed with what the kitchen was putting out, will definitely be returning here soon.

Great atmosphere, great service, really professional. We wanted just a beer, then a cocktail… then some cheese… the we saw the “marrow bone” …. And yes…. Everything was fantastic and we transformed our aperitive almost in a dinner…. Cheese (3 kinds) was great and perfectly matched with special crackers and some jam, and marrow bone is a rare specialty, with jam and mint sauce… There are several rooms and menus, all the rooms are very nice, but with different atmosphere… you can also see the wine cellar with many bottles

The titanic drink is excellent. The sun room is bright and has a great feel. Feel like I'm on a vacation somewhere. We came for brunch. Corn bread was excellent. We had the short rib hash. The flavor is excellent. The first time we went there, there were actual pieces of short ribs in our plate. We went there yesterday again and 3 of us at our table got the short ribs and it feels like it was the bottom of the pot. We all got the veggies/roots and some flavoring of short ribs but not a single piece of short ribs were on our plate. Quite disappointing. There was a lack of consistency. We love the panna cotta we had last time the flavor was light and refreshing with the fruits and pistachios giving the light slightly fragrant desert a nice texture. We came back for new menu items such as roast pork sandwich which was delicious. We also liked the scallops. Service could be faster, but you can relax and enjoy your titanic while you wait. Overall for flavor and ambiance and the awesome titanic drink, this place is a 5.
