My fiance and I went on a Wednesday night and it was packed. Luckily, if you don't sit at a grill table you can get in relatively quickly. Staff was friendly and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The food was so delicious. I had to have a Philly roll, the Eel roll and the Ice Cream Roll with Steak hibachi and my fiance got the chicken a shrimp hibachi. Plenty leftover a meal or two. My fiance has always been iffy about the idea of sushi, but he tried the fried "ice cream" roll and seemed to really enjoy it. He ate half my roll!!
Most Japanese restaurants down south aren't very authentic but this tastes like the Japanese food I had back home in the big cities in IL! VERY hard to find around here. So 5 stars from us!

I have been eating here for years. I love their food. Other restaurants in the area have had foreign objects in my food! Mostly without apology. I have never ever experienced that at Tako Yaki! The staff is super friendly. Food is always the same...great!!! They give you a lot, which of course, my husband loves. Best sweet tea in town. They never let my cup run dry. They bring extra napkins without being asked. The manager explained what happened with the review when we asked. Ridiculous circumstances! He is great. The most hard working conscientious restaurant manager I have ever met. I am gluten intolerant and they make me a special plain meal every time, but they also have gluten free soy sauce available! We eat here twice per week. Just completely remodeled and very clean inside. You have to try this place!!! If you are avoiding due to the news, ignore those sensationalists, ridiculous! They are just trying to make a story someone cares about! Why would trust a reporter these days? Find out for yourself.

I forgot I just had sushi here last Sunday. It was great! I even mistakenly ordered some that had gluten and Joon, the manager, came by and said, “Don’t eat that it might have wheat in the mock crab!” He knows I can’t eat wheat. He checked the ingredients and sure enough it had wheat in it! I didn’t know and he remade it for me!!! They are the best!

It's a great place for a hibachi dining experience with the family or your significant other. However, if you're feeling like just grabbing some good food without all the flair of the hibachi their dining room is definitely it. It's a bit too open for my liking but the food is absolutely amazing. Plus the specials they run, I'd def plan ahead depending on what you're craving.

I’d rather eat sushi at Food City or Publix. This was absolutely horrible. Warm, fell apart when you picked it up, and absolutely flavorless.

We had the hibachi and we were very disappointed. The food was mainly seasoned with soy sauce. There was no seasoning other than too much soy sauce which made the food VERY salty.
The fried rice had very little vegetables- carrots, peas, egg... but it had soy sauce!
There was some “construction” or a renovation going on right outside of the windows. This was something I did not want to see and thought it was quite odd that whom ever was doing the renovation work did not insist on having it hidden from the customers view?
We will never be back. It was indeed an experience we will never forget.

Food, service and portion size were perfect! You get rice AND noodles with your entree!! Wait staff and cooks were warm, friendly, and professional. We will definitely be returning.

We sat at the grill. Was pretty good food. Vegetables were a little lackluster, especially for the price paid. Some beans sprouts and bell pepper would have gone a long way to take lunch from boring to awesome.

I'm from Fort Lauderdale and recently moved to Cleveland. I have to say that this is the best Hibachi restaurant I have ever been to and I've been to many. The food is better, the prices are cheaper and the chefs are superstars. My family laughed so hard and had such a great time. The restaurant really made my sister in laws birthday special!

Normally I would give this place 5 �'s but this time it just wasn't as good. We had a chef I haven't seen there before and the food was a little greasy and really upset our stomachs. Unfortunately I didn't catch his name but it is usually really good.

We had a shop meeting there on 1/12/17. And not one person complained. There were 17 of us. The food was absolutely terrific as was the service and everything. I will absolutely go back and take my family.

I came with my special needs, handicapped son and the staff was so helpful and kind to him. They went out of their way to make sure he could enjoy his meal with his family. As always, the food is delicious! Thank you all so much for the great meal! My son can't wait to come back again.

We have eaten at restaurants that perpare the food in front of diners for 30+ years. I do not recall a chef as good as the one who cooked for us at Takoyaki on Thursday, August 17, 2017. He was excellent! He did not race to cook and finish. He was careful to prepare the steak, shrimp, and scallops as diners requested. Every part of the meal was cooked to perfection!
