Outstanding dive bar! Almost didn't want to review to keep it a secret, but the owners are too amazing not to share.

Come for a beer and shot but stay for the stories - if you're lucky enough to have a quiet afternoon when Shelia, her daughter, or her sister are behind the bar. You just might learn something about the colorful history of one of the last neighborhood joints in Tremont!

Omg... I can't say enough great things about Ms Sheila the owner, 100 years of Cleveland history bar history and baseball history all rolled into one! Great beer and drink selection... These bar stools are the original bar stools that Babe Ruth and many others sat in! If you want to feel Cleveland for what it truly is and go to an actual "neighborhood bar" (this place sits literally on the corner in the neighborhood) then this is a must see, even if you don't get a beer (which you should)... Just walking into this place will take you back in time!

Great old school American bar. Friendly staff and people enhance the experience

Best dive bar in town! Great family who owns and runs the bar. Truly enjoyed the time spent.

Hotz is as real as it gets!! And you're getting served a shot and a beer from descendants of the same family that opened the bar and served shots and beers to Babe Ruth. Not much more Cleveland than this corner bar.

What a gem in the Tremont section of Cleveland. You can feel baseball history at this historic neighborhood bar, in the hands of the same family since shortly after the turn of the 20th Century. It was a favorite post-game haunt of baseball stars who played at nearby League Park and elsewhere in the city, Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig among them. No food here, but tasty beefsticks from West Side Market to snack on. But if you want pub food, The Rowley Inn is minutes away. If you're a baseball fan and like neighorhood bars that have stood the test of time, don't miss HotZ. Have an ice cold bottle of beer or two and tell Sheila that her friends from western Pennsylvania sent you there! PS, HotZ is a 5-minute drive from Progressive Field 👍

Friendly customers, a comfortable place to visit and meet new friends. Owners are always nice and are glad to see you, rather your first time or tenth visit they always welcome you. History was made here.
