Review Osteria Italian - Cleveland

Just dined at Osteria. Our waitress was Jada. She was an absolute superstar. Her food recommendations were spot on and she made sure every aspect of the dining experience was pleasant. Would highly suggest people dine here simply just to get to experience Jada. The food is great too.

My partner took me here for my birthday celebration, and It's truly one of the best restaurants I've been to in Cleveland. It has a romantic classic Hollywood flare I could imagine Marilyn Monroe dinning at. Italian art on plush fabric walls. Mood lighting to make anyone look good especially wearing something fancy and polished. Not sure if there is a dress code but this is not the place for t-shirts and jeans. Make it classy. The food was delicious, fast ,and hot on the plate. Service was warm, welcoming, friendly, and we just had a good time. They have very punctual and attractive staff who always checked in and took their time to make sure we were satisfied. We made reservations at 6 pm, on a Saturday, walking in they were not crowded so we got seated right away. By they time we left, they really picked up a crowd with couples celebrating and a few large groups. Still was not terribly busy but lively. Starting with risotto balls which were creamy, chessy, and crispy outside. Flavor was fantastic and came with an amazing pesto and house tomato sauce. Then, I had a caprese salad that was so fresh and refreshing. Excellent for starting the rack of lamb. The lamb was grilled to perfection being tender, juicy, and robust. I melted on the first bite. My partner had Mushroom Marsala with brown butter pasta. Yummy! Pasta was perfect and sauce had cream to balance the tartness. Last, I finished with cheese cake with fruit. It was light, sweet, and hit the spot. This was a great experience and I absolutely recommend and look forward to going again. The charm and comfort is enchanting so bring someone you want close to you. The only thing is the price point is a bit high so this will be a special occasion destination. I do think the food and service was worth it. If you want to impress than come here. Location is good with lots of parking options. Just be careful on Progressive's Field event as parking might be limited.

Solid downtown Italian restaurant. The food was great, the service could use a little work. Service was very friendly, but little things like delivering dinners but no silverware on table, long time or forgetting things that were asked for, etc. Restaurant is nice inside and there was some live entertainment when we were there as well. What matters most is the food, and everyone at my table enjoyed their dinners. Would definitely go back again.

My husband took me here for my birthday and it was incredible. Jada was our waitress and she was the best. She made a great wine recommendation, and we decided to share their veal tortellini and ribeye steak so she brought out the dishes one at a time and it made for a really nice dinner where we were able to enjoy everything slowly and appreciate the delicious food. The food quality was also incredible. Jada brought out a nice birthday dessert and overall made it a really special night! Cannot thank Jada and the staff enough for a great dining experience!!

Outstanding. So romantic, so delicious, so warm. I felt like I was dining in Manhattan, which is a rare experience in Cleveland. I have waited days to write this review simply because I don’t quite know how to express how much I loved the experience of dining here. Raquel and Dexter were SUCH gracious hosts and meeting them made me fall even more in love with Osteria. I look forward to working my way through the entire menu. I didn’t remember to take any photos of the food because I was just having such an amazing time. Ryan was our server & I loved her. So attentive the entire time in spite being so busy. The cheesecake was insane. We ended our night with a glass of grappa and waited to leave until they closed because we just didn’t want the night to end. Thank you Osteria, so much.

Raquel and Jada made our experience worth it. Excellent team and amazing food. The sauce with the mussels was out of this World. We will definitely be back when we are in Cleveland. Thanks for making us feel at home.

Came to this restaurant about 40 minutes before closing (thinking it was open later than it was) and the staff and kitchen were all very accommodating to my group coming in late. The atmosphere was quaint and quiet, and very clean. Overall wonderful atmosphere. The served Jada was amazing!!! She was incredibly kind and personable and made the entire experience what it was! She is a rockstar and deserves to be recognized!! Food was absolutely AMAZING! Got the veal tortelini and it was the best dish I had in Cleveland, staying for 4 days and trying different restaurants nightly. Highly recommend this hole in the wall if you are looking for good Italian in Cleveland!!

I never leave reviews but this restaurant was so lovely I had to! The food is incredible and the staff is even more amazing. Everyone was so nice and attentive. The family style dinner was great, especially the risotto balls and rib eye. Also, the best chocolate cake of my life. We were absolutely spoiled- highly recommend!

Our server was very attentive and friendly. Our food from appetizers to our main dish came out in a timely manner. She kept us informed throughout our stay when drinks and food would be coming out. We were trying to make a comedy show that evening. Their drinks were tasty and had a different twist to some classics, which made them stand out. Their fresh baked bread was so good. Bread is bread, but it's the handmade spread that you smother on that made you keep asking for more.

My experience at Osteria was phenomenal! The service was excellent, the food tasted amazing and the presentation was truly outstanding. These three chefs and the bartenders were like family to us. If you ever want to have some great food, laughs, with a group or a romantic dinner for two! This is the place for you! See you again soon Osteria! 5 stars and more on absolutely everything!

I have been in Cleveland for a couple years and finally found the perfect place to eat. There is nothing that isn’t Great at Osteria Italian. From the service (shoutout to Jada) the excellent attention to detail at the bar (go Sienna) and the food is immaculately prepared.

Fantastic get away in the heart of downtown Cleveland. The new location is bright and upscale and the food has not skipped a beat. Delicious flavors with exceptional presentation served by an attentive staff. The decadence of the Gorgonzola Cream gnocchi and the spiciness and texture of Orrechiette grabbed us at first bite. Wow. This is a must visit for anyone looking for delicious, refined Italian cuisine.

Referred to Osteria Italian by Marriott hotel in Cleveland, Ohio and it did not disappoint. All staff and owners were unbelievably gracious, kind and accommodating. Food is great. This is my second time visiting this restaurant from the west coast, I will be back. I highly recommend. You can always reserve or ask for the gold section.

Visiting from out of town and came to Osteria for a business dinner. The ribeye is incredible and the owner came out to check on us. Service staff is first class. White tablecloth experience, great wine, way more than expected.

If you remember the original location (or even if you don't) you will love this place. Top-notch service, ambiance, and cuisine. My wife and I recently celebrated her birthday there and were treated to excellent across-the-board service. Hats off to the chef and management!

Our hotel in downtown Cleveland recommended. Didn’t have reservations so sat in bar. We ordered salad, meatball appetizers, and salmon entree. One of the best meals ever! Additionally, they served a hot bread with both regular and tomato basil butter. Delicious! Sienna at the bar was so attentive, and the owner came by to talk to us. We had a truly great experience!

We had the pleasure of having our holiday luncheon with Osteria and while it was my first visit, it will definitely not be my last! Found another unbelievable place for supper while in Cleveland... But this time it was Italian and I mean real home type food and service... Put it this way, as a guest of a seven table setting the owner took both the menu and wine menu and cooked and brought wine to us.... My Pasta Sunday's back home have been inspired.

I had a superb experience tonight at this restaurant. I’m visiting from out of town and was accommodated as they were closing the kitchen for a fantastic dinner. Owner Al and the entire staff were marvelous. The meal itself was out of this world in a perfect atmosphere. I will come here every time I come to Cleveland.

No Pinot Grigio.... we waited forever for a sweeter, "comparable" wine (even though everything basically on menu was cooked in Pinot Grigio), appetizer of over cooked calamari, asparagus soup good -although rich- then came main courses. Over cooked pancetta on the veal, undercooked steak (only to be recooked & given back with pieces already cut) & horrible sides. No thank you, never again!! Thanks for 10 different servers too, that were no where to be found once dinner was served. ����������

First time there with friends. Wish I'd known about this place sooner. We weren't served a single bite of food that wasn't fabulous. Service was wonderful. Will definitely be back for many more delicious meals!

I really hate to write this review... Because it’s like playing cards, nobody wants to tip their hand all the way down. I will cut straight to the heart of the chase. There is no finer Italian restaurant in the city of Cleveland, then Osteria. It’s been probably 12, maybe 13 years since I’ve been back... But when you come walking down the steps, and the owner recognizes you after a decade and change? This takes restaurant to a whole new dimension. If you really want to impress someone, as I used to do time after time, with client after client... Simply walk in, ask for Al... And tell him that television Tom, sent you. And simply ask, “would you feed us?”. You will see the owner’s face light up like a Christmas tree, with the biggest grin, you will see a level of food quality, that is above Michelin standard. What a blessing it was, to have a homecoming last night, to see the owners eyes twinkle like Santa Claus, as we followed suit, with what I used to do, for a solid decade, prior to a decade off. Osteria Di Valerio is absolutely an anchor in Uber high-quality food. I’ve done the red thing, the marble room, not impressive… But the best meal in Cleveland, bar none… Let me say that again, bar none. Is being fed like family, treated like family, tableside service like family… I really hate to say this, because I get grouchy when I can’t get a table… But Osteria is the restaurant that I call home.
