Review Siam Cafe - Cleveland

The highest quality food in Asian town. The dishes are each so special. Better than any trendy hyped Ohio city or Lakewood spot. Go here now

I love to eat good food I don’t care how much it cost. When you’re looking for some fine dining this is the perfect place for you to take a special someone or your family for all occasions. The seafood is fresh and all of the entrees are delicious. There is too many choose from I just order a bunch of them. When you work hard for your money sometimes you got to live and let the money work hard for you. Eat good and enjoy your life!

Wow, so much to choose from. Almost nothing I recognized on the menu. So glad we shared 4 meals and appetizers. I feel you could eat here twice a month and still miss a lot of menu items. Gotta come back when frog legs are in season. 👍 Great experience.

It is a great and authentic Chinese restaurant, but always packed and noisy. Recommend the peking duck serving with soft buns and jellyfish as an appetizer.

This is, and will always be my favorite restaurant in Ohio. The quality of food and the warm hospitality is like nothing I've ever experienced. Each item on the menu looks absolutely stunning and begs to be tried. I'm a regular customer and I see why almost all the tables are always full. The staff is dedicated to their craft.

Delicious! We had a small Christmas party there and I loved every dish we had! Except the spicy ones, but I can't handle spice My favorite was the fried string bun! The sauce served with it is perfect

Service was quick we were waiting shortly two tables ahead of us took less than 15 minutes to get seated. Drinks came out fast followed by delicious spring rolls definitely get an order.

Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai. After a couple days of Thanksgiving leftovers, I was all pho it. A blogger I follow on Instagram posted some photos of the food at Siam, which led me to cure my hunger last night. There's basically nothing in sight around this place, but a hidden gem it is. Parking lot full. We were seated very quickly, and our order was taken promptly. Dishes: Vietnamese spring rolls - crispy, tasty, but nothing special. The sweet like clear rice vinegar dipping liquid was super yummy, just sweet tart enough, and much better than your average duck sauce. Seafood Curry - Squash, peppers, shrimp (good sized), mussels, scallops, eggplant, mushrooms, in a spicy Thai curry. $21. Not too spicy, good flavor, happy with the size of the shrimp. Comes with white rice. Peking Duck -While I half expected to actually see a half of a duck, this was already broken down and bao'd up for you with a smidge (could've used a lot more) of sauce and green onion. Crispy skin, and some tender duck pieces, some not. $22 String Bean in Garlic Sauce - Plateful of beans, with a healthy amount of garlic sauce coating. Was not disappointed with this dish. Flavor on point. I could eat this as a snack anytime. :) $10 We also had a couple glasses of wine and two Singhas. Bill came to $97. Seems steep for this kind of place, but we did drink a bit, and we'll have leftovers for another meal! UnFORTUNately no fortune cookies, lol

Really excellent food, the service is great and you definitely get your money's worth. I was working downtown for a couple of weeks and we went here a couple of times. I got a spicy ground pork with basil dish that had a decent amount of heat and tasted amazing. The 2nd time I got a spicy beef dish that had szechuan peppercorns and it was phenomenal. I only wish I lived a closer so I could go more often!

Went there on a weekday and pretty empty. A lot of parking spots on venue. Good fried clam and can taste the authenticity of Cantonese style frying. The veggie and the pho were mediocre but came with a good volume. This is probably the best you can get in Cleveland when it comes to Cantonese food but still not impressive. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

Delicious meal and excellent service. We tried a few dishes to share and every one was delicious. Huge menu with something for everyone to love.

One of the best and consistent restaurants in Cleveland’s Asia Town neighborhood.

September 2022: I used to see this building all the time when I was a student as Cleveland State University. However, I never gave it the opportunity to prove itself. Now, years later, I was still curious and had to give them a try. The restaurant sits on a relatively quiet NW corner of St. Clair and East 40th Street. The outside is decorated with bold hints of Asian influence including the various statues from the Chinese zodiac. Inside, the restaurant is spacious, clean and has plenty of tables to seat maybe a party of 80 people. I ordered the Vietnamese spring rolls as an appetizer, which came out promptly as 4 thumb sized, peefectly crispy rolls with a sweet, tangy dipping sauce with some chillies in it. The Pad Thai arrived later and was a delicious blend of chicken, shrimp, noodles, green onions, and chopped peanuts on top. It was very good, but not the best that I've tasted. I decided to wash it down with a jackfruit smoothie for dessert, which was good. Pros: * Good food, fast and friendly service. * Menu was assembled well and had Asian characters along with English subtitles and photo. There appears to be some sort of indexing system, but I did not use it. * Prices are reasonable for the quantity of food that was given. * There were many people coming in for pickup and Doordash, which is testament to their service and culinary skill. Some people (diverse crowd) sat inside in groups to seemingly converse over dinner. Very inviting atmosphere. Cons: * I am unable to think of any. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Conclusion: I will return in the near future. This restaurant is like a hidden gem for a date night or group lunch/dinner.

I knew this place was going to be good when I saw how crowded it was. Despite crowd, the service was excellent! The food was absolutely amazing! The hot and sour soup was the best I've ever tasted. I am already craving more. I had the Basil Chicken over pan fried noodles and it was so delicious. Bubble tea is always a treat! Definitely a special spot.

My all-time favorite place to eat in Cleveland. The service is fast, the food is hot and delicious, staff is attentive and friendly and prices are reasonable. We eat here regularly (once every 2 or 3 months) and have never been disappointed.

I have been eating at this place literally since 1990. Same ownership family. This is as good as it gets. I have traveled the world, and had Tai and Cambodian food all over the world - NYC, San Fran, Toronto, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Singapore, Bangkok and this is still my favorite. EVERYTHING is ALWAYS fresh, cooked when you order, Live Fish, lobster and Crab are in a tank you see. Be adventuresome ! Their menu has dishes from all over Asia- Tai, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Chinese- All Authentic. Salt Fish and Bean Curd (Tofu) in hot pot for example. But you cannot go wrong with the Chefs Specials. Duck ChooChee is my favorite Curry. Or get a fresh Seabass with Scallion. Anyone who is looking for your typical chinese- go to panda wok- this place is too authentic for you.

I came here with my family for lunch and it was great! The food came out fairly quickly, staff was nice, and vibe was calming. I recommend the seafood curry of you like curry! It was a big sweet, creamy, and packed with seafood. I also recommend their crispy squid because it was made very well and delicious. I loved their black pepper scallops because the sauce was sweet and peppery, very different but good. Their cold platter was delicious, if you like jellyfish. Staff was very nice and helpful in recommending dishes and accomodating! Their dishes are interesting because they have specific dishes for Thai, Chinese, Viet, and others, but they also have mixes of these culturally rich foods. All of the dishes we got ranges from $13-$18. It was authentic and a pretty decent portion! There's a parking lot and if you're not paying attention, you might pass this little gem. There's plenty of tables for a group of people and space for a small party. There are bathrooms in the back, bit no WiFi. Everything was great and I will come back every time we visit!

How could this not be a 5 all around..The best Asian food ever..the stuffed chicken wings alone make the trip worthwhile at the best price point in town

I've been going to Siam Cafe for over 20 years. It is the first place I think of for entertaining out of town guests. Their food is superb. The prices are beyond fair for the quality they deliver. The service is among the best in the city. They don't just serve you food they foster friendships that will last.

Happy New Year! Great food and excellent service. Even though today was incredibly busy, they were attentive, and the food was great!

Easily in my top 5 restaurants in Cleveland. Great food, good service and excellent consistency. Try the hot ground Thai basil chicken.

One of my favorite places to eat! I haven't had a bad meal ever! I love the hot basil ground chicken, the fried squid with spicy salt, and their Vietnamese hot and sour soup with shrimp, I could eat any of these every day of the week!

Excellent food at reasonable prices in the heart of Cleveland's Chinatown. They have an extensive menu of Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai dishes. Live fish, lobsters and frogs in season. The large round tables seating 10-12 are usually filled with 3-4 generations of Chinese families. Lunch specials are offered too.
Len Mastrucci
Probably the best Asian in NE Ohio. Always a lot of Asians eating at the restaurant. Usually very busy. Been going here for some time. Everyone I’ve ever taken to the restaurant has enjoyed their time there.

Great food and service at Siam Cafe. Soft Shell Crabs were as fresh as they come. Hot Spicy Beef was smoking hot, perfectly seasoned - loved the use of Szechuan peppercorn, delicious!

I moved away from Cleveland several years ago to Boston, which also has a remarkable food scene. Although I have found some quite delectable Thai restaurants, none of them come close to Siam Cafe. Truly a treasure of Cleveland!
