Review Ristorante Chinato - Cleveland

Very impressed with this place. Our larger party was greeted warmly at the door, escorted to our table where we were equally warmly greeted by our server. He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable about the menu and all drink selections, helpful, patient and attentive. Decor was comfortable and relaxed. All of our meals were excellent. I very much enjoyed the house made pasta and the care with which all dishes were prepared, plated, and served. Well curated wine and craft beer selection, including many local and regional selections. Again, our server was knowledgeable and helpful when pairing a beverage to our meal selection. When I'm in Cleveland again. I will definitely stop at Chinato again.

Delicious Italian inspired food. Extensive wine list from different areas around Italy. The porchetta was delicious. It was perfectly cooked and the polenta was creamy and delightful. The only issue was that the bread was cold when it was served, but that was not a problem it was Delicious.

Perfect rehearsal dinner. Everything was excellent, the restaurant has a private dining space with a separate bar. Our guests had plenty of food and cocktails; we did a limited menu and everything came out hot and at the same time. One guest has severe food allergies and the staff handled it beautifully with good options. Planning was a breeze. Highly recommended.

Amazing service and great food. I don't usually give 5 stars but this place deserved it. We counted five people that had served us something: water, bread, food and drinks. Our server was excellent. This place was quite busy but you felt like they were there for you and your family. Each course was served within minutes of finishing. Our appetizer of mussels in the tomato broth we couldn't get enough of. The mussels were cooked perfectly and excellent, but the tomato broth was actually the star. If they made a soup of this we all would get it. We soaked it all up with the numerous slices of bread they provided. Salads were large and excellent. The dinners were very flavorful and my daughter's mushroom ravioli was the best ravioli I've had. I can't say it was lacking or needed anything. THe shrimp in my pasta linguini was also perfectly cooked, very snappy just how I like it.

Wonderful dining experience before the game. Waiter was excellent. Bread and water boy attentive. Lamb dish yummy. Pigs cheek's were succulent. Arugala salad..pasta dishes great. Only criticism..pizza was under-the-counter... Outside dining awesome for people watching.

Had dinner there November 7th and couldn’t be happier with service, atmosphere and food. Our waitress Anne was fantastic, there was 2 other fellas that made sure our dishes were cleared quickly and also made sure our drinks and pretty well everything else was good. I had their braised beef short rib with polenta and my wife had linguine and shrimp. We also shared a prochuitto appie and also had their apple strudel for dessert. All at a reasonable price. Honestly do not have one negative thing to say about our whole dining experience. Well done! Mark and Michele.

We had a great experience here! The staff was friendly and the food was amazing! Our server, Patrick, was extremely helpful and personable throughout our entire dinner. Their Hazelnut Mousse Cake was my favorite part and it shouldn't be missed!

We enjoyed a fantastic lunch here. Service was warm and personable, and the food was excellent. I love baby artichokes alla judea and their version was outstanding. The waiter recommended the cod and it lived up to expectations. My husband loved his brick chicken with roasted fingerlings. He said it was moist and flavorful. I'd return in a heartbeat.

We wanted to eat at Lola last night, but the wait was long... so we tried Chinato. The staff was amazingly attentive, the food was tasty, and even tho it was warm outside, and we sat outside, it was a really nice experience. They were very attentive with water, our waitress was really sweet and helpful with making recommendations... All in all, really good! I had the Chicken "Saltimbocca" and it was tasty, and just the right portion. My only complaint would be the price of salad -- thought $10 for a side salad was really steep.

Despite the name no this place does not serve Chinese food; on the other hand it does serve some amazing Italian food. I went here last weekend and was impressed by their wine selection, fresh ingredients, and the service. I tried the braised beef and it was succulent, juicy, and prepared perfectly to the point where it melts in your mouth with every bite. As far as an appetizer I would go for the fried artichoke, it was amazingly good and still healthy for you. Definitely a 5 star restaurant, and a great alternative to Lola, (although prices are very similar which is to say kind of expensive)

A very good choice for Italian food. Located just minutes from arena or public square. Also walking distance to theatre district. Very nice restaurant with rustic feel. Wait staff is top of the line. The menu speaks for itself. The drinks and desert menu are great as well. It's a little pricy but well worth money. A must try if you are in Cleveland

I'll never understand why this place isn't jam packed each time I'm there. A great location for downtown, a large menu with great small plate appetizers, and bartenders that go out of their way to make you great drinks (even ones that aren't on the menu but they want to experiment with). They have two TVs at the bar and it's never busy during Cavs or Indians games so it's a great place to watch a game. Chinato is my go to spot for good food. It's a bit on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for and I never leave feeling dissatisfied. I'd highly recommend it.

Food was pricey for Cleveland but excellent! The contrasting spices and flavors mixed well, with modern and classical Italian dishes. A block from the arena, you can watch all the fans root for their teams down the historical alley of I will probably eat here any time I go to Cleveland.
