The tacos were spectacular! They were priced at $2 - $2.50, depending on the type of meat you choose, which is the norm for any taco place you go to. Took a bit to get my food, but the wait was worth it. I ordered three tacos (beef, chicken, pork) and ended up buying two more (pork and steak). I really enjoyed the pork tacos. I do wish they had the sauce selection out on display to choose from because on both orders I received two different sauces each time. I guess next time I'll just ask for all the sauces. But overall, the place and food were very good and I'll be back for more.
If you are looking for authentic, delicious Mexican food, you found it! Encanto is the best I have found in Florida & we always love the small, unique atmosphere & excellent service they provide. The food is fresh & very reasonably priced. We love to take friends & family there that enjoy Mexican food since they are always very happy & love their meal. Highly recommended!
Extremely authentic. So authentic the girls working there may misunderstand your order due to their limited English. So be clear and make sure they got what you want.
Sometimes they have Mole (chocolate sauce). It's very tasty and worth ordering.
We usually just get tacos or enchiladas. I love the tacos because they are just like the way they do them in Mexico: fresh tortillas, meat and some cilantro. Side of salsa, green or red. Red is spicy.
It's our favorite little secret for Mexican food.
What a wonderful meal! I read the great reviews while sitting outside this restaurant--looks are deceiving--walked in and enjoyed a delicious, authentic meal prepared in view with fresh ingredients. The mole sauce was superb! Six tables, tv, help yourself to refrigerated drinks, locals and a chef whose personal touch truly made this a meal to remember, and one you should experience soon and often!
Many restaurants claim to have an authentic mexican feel, I'm sure some even begin that way, but few stay true to their humble beginnings llike Encanto Mexicano has.
It's a rarity in even a family-owned restaurant to have the proprietor and owner himself greet you at your table and tell you his specialties with such warmth and desire to please. This place has such a proprietor.
It's exotic and rare to find a simple place with such extraordinary dishes as their Huarache with cactus, which instantly take you back to Mexico City where they all began, in the 1930s. This place has such huaraches.
You'll see me eating here as often as I can manage, which will be very often, because their prices are as excellent as their food. This place has such loyal customers.
Local gems like this need to be supported. I suggest you check them out!
First time I ever had Sopes and they were amazing! Had some steak tacos to start with their own orange sauce and it was excellent! You must try this authentic taste of Mexico!
The BEST Mexican restaurant in Clearwater for the price & selection of authentic dishes. They are open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch & dinner & even deliver. My favorite dishes are the Alambre, Arrachera & Tostadas. The service is very welcoming & they always make you feel at home. This is a great restaurant to take visitors from out of town looking for some "real" Mexican cuisine.
The food was the best I have had here in Florida for a very long time. Lived in Southern California for quite some time and the food there is what I miss the most. I will be going back. Do not let the decor throw you off. Stay the course and you will be very pleased.
