Cuban Mexican Restaurant

Heard so much hype from this place. I’m a foodie. Had to try it. Ordered a large Cuban sandwich and one chicken and one beef empanada. First of all their Cuban comes WITHOUT pork, has Mayo, mustard, pickles, tomatoes, cheese, salami, and ham. Ok that’s strange! They were very light on all toppings including the meats . Next we have the chicken empanada. Just shredded chicken inside, not much flavor or seasoning. Next we have the beef empanada, mostly potatoes and some ground beef. . Either y’all are high amd just got munchies or y’all don’t get out much. Paid $15 for the above order. Today was my first and Last time at this spot. People seem nice there. You can’t really mess up a Cuban or empanadas if that’s what your known. for and you did. Big time. If you like Cubans and wanna know what it’s suppose to taste like , try Bella’s Bagels on central. They are my personal favorite. You’re very welcome!

Ordered a half of chicken and ordered a half a pound of pulled pork. They both came with Spanish rice. The chicken was somewhat tasty but a little dry. It was tender but could have used a little bit more flavor. The pool pork was very good. It was juicy tender and had lots of flavor. If it wasn't for the pooled pork my rating would have been a little lower. But the pulled pork was enough to make me satisfied. The rice was decent. It had decent flavor it was moist not too dry or mushy. Overall the cost was a little bit on the high side. The restaurant was pretty clean. The service was a little slow and unorganized. The counter service person was nice though.

We do not understand how this place had such great reviews, but maybe we went on a bad day. It was packed too. We order chicken fajitas and a chicken quesadilla. We both thought the chicken tasted “off,” and we didn’t eat it because we were worried it was bad. The rice was undercooked. It was getting stuck in our teeth. I never got the tortillas for the fajitas, but maybe I just assumed it came with them. This is probably the first place we went to where we basically left our entire meals untouched on the table. (We paid for it all beforehand)
