We have kids with peanut and milk allergies, so they usually never get to have cool stuff like this. But not only was there a coconut-based vegan option, the gentleman who waited on us thoroughly cleaned the surface and utensils to avoid any cross-contamination. My kids were ecstatic!
All options start with a vanilla (or vegan) liquid base that gets mixed and frozen with 1-2 other ingredients. Then a filling or drizzle can be added before the ice cream is rolled, and finally topped with more drizzle, whipped cream, etc. The S'mores option came complete with a torched marshmallow s'more on top, much to my daughter's delight. I created my own with pb & pretzels mixed in, caramel & pb drizzle before rolling, and chocolate drizzle on top. Delish!
Didn't try the alcohol-infused ice cream this time, but I want to go back and have one with Bailey's!

Great find on a warm day after the beach. Is a little off the main Street but definitely worth a stop. I tried the strawberry shortcake combo and it was very delicious! They also have options with liquor in them which might be fun on another visit.

Past review: Love this place. It has alcohol-infused ice cream—yum! —and also non-alcohol concoctions for the kids. My boys love this place. Try the monkey business or Cookie Monster. Everything is good and really fresh. It’s made while you wait.

This place is awesome. An alcohol infused I've cream bar, genius! The guys working there were really nice and very knowledgeable. Made some great milkshakes and ice cream. They also made my daughter some yummy ice cream with no booze that was super yummy as well. Highly recommend.

My husband and I stumbled across Ciao Ice Cream Bar after eating lunch at Frenchy’s. What a find! There was no wait when we walked in and the owner was friendly and we chatted while he worked on our orders. My husband got the rolled strawberry infused ice cream and I got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch infused milkshake. Wow. WOW. Absolutely delicious. Its a little off the beaten path, but totally worth the super short walk.

Wonderful service and a wonderful owner! I got the Cookie Monster ice cream with alcohol and it was an awesome dessert! The friendly service was the cherry on top. I can’t wait to see where this business goes. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!

My husband and I were visiting Clearwater in March for spring break from Minnesota. We found Ciao and are so glad we did. Having tried the “rolled ice cream” before we were excited to have some again. Our expectations were surpassed! The flavors are amazing and the service was wonderful!
