Coyote Moon On The River

We walked here for a wine tasting after a bad experience at Di Prinzio. Coyote Moon turned our day around! The staff here is amazing, friendly, and very personable. We did multiple tastings and enjoyed every one of the wines we sampled. The atmosphere was great and we are excited to come back for lunch and a beautiful wine flight or wine slushy soon.

This was our first week in the 1000 islands. Our first day we went into clayton and we saw reviews that said coyote moon was a must stop place. Most of the time that's just hog wash and its like every other store or restaurant. Boy was I wrong, this place IS a must stop. The wine is good. It's $5 for a tasting unless you buy 3 bottles of wine. Everyone is super friendly. The two best things are: 1. The food, we had this meat, cheese, and fruit tray that was fantastic with some glasses of wine. 2. They have this back patio that over looks the river. This view is to die for. We ended up going back two different days, the second day they actually remembered us from 2 days before. I would make sure you stop at coyote moon if you are going to the 1000 islands.

The service and prices were phenomenal. We had a wonderful conversation with our server at the bar. Only rating 4 stars because it wasn’t my favorite wine, but I would come back because it’s a fun environment and affordable! The dryer wines were pretty good and the mulled wine was delicious! Definitely give it a try.
