This was an outstanding experience. The Crossing was recommended by a colleague, and it was not a disappointment. The daily specials were amazing, as were the wine pairings. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and able to help us make decisions when we were undecided. The experience was lovely and unrushed. Special note, the espresso is wonderful and a must.

Excellent! Great service, but really great good. Bread was very fresh and flavorful. The roasted vegetable vegan soup was my favorite. Then I had roasted chicken sandwich with roasted veggies. All very good.

Everything was outstanding! Our waiter Joshua was very knowledgeable of the menu, and gave great recommendations. We did the menu tasting since so many options sounded amazing. My husband and I got the octopus and salad as the first course. The octopus was cooked to perfection- not chewy at all and had a nice smoky flavor. I’m not a huge salad person, but it was the best salad I’ve ever had. The second course he got boar in pasta and I got pork shoulder ravioli. The boar was super flavorful and the ravioli was good, but I probably wouldn’t get it again. The third course we got the lamb and duck. Both were very good, but the duck with blackberry sauce was incredible!! I would I think the breading on the lamb was a little misplaced. The fourth course was strawberry cheesecake and the ginger creme brûlée. The strawberry cheesecake isn’t your traditional cheesecake. It was more of a mousse. The crème brûlée my husband loved. I thought it had too much ginger flavor to it. He thought the hard sugar top was too thick. Overall the food, service and atmosphere was all amazing. I’d highly recommend going there! We’ll definitely be back. Plus they have complimentary valet parking

My husband and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary! The crossing was actually our first fancy dinner date. We have now been together for 15 years. Tonight was amazing!! From a custom congratulation card to our great server. We felt very special! Thank you everyone! We can’t wait be back!

Wonderful experience, excellent service and fabulous cuisine! We were a party of 8 and everyone was happy with their drinks and food selections. We shared crab cakes, then on to our entrees. I ordered Torchio, a homemade pasta with tomatoes, pesto and crispy prosciutto. It was delicious!! I cannot wait to go back! Oh yes...the dessert...Beignets with vanilla mousseline, chocolate pistachio sauce. Oh my, tender and delicate in the amazing sauce. Superb!!

Wow! That says it all. The Crossing is easily one of the best "farm to table" restaurants I've ever eaten at. There was a group of 4 of us and we all did their tasting menu with extra sides of the seasonal and very hard to find morel mushrooms. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was exceptional. Two of us also did the associated wine pairing and it was amazing. If you find yourself in St Louis, The Crossing is a must for a special occasion and experience.

What a fantastic experience! This has been the best culinary/dining experience we’ve had in quite some time (the last one being a 3-star Michelin outside D.C.). After living in Europe for a decade (Italy and Belgium), it’s hard to find food or restaurants in the U.S. that are comparable in taste, presentation, quality, etc. We’ve been to The Hill multiple times, just to be disappointed by the highly-rated “average” food. I digress; just wanted to provide context on how sophisticated our palate is and how good this place really is. From the moment we walked into the restaurant, until departing some 3 hours later (the amount of time time dinners should take), service was great…from the host stand, to the coat check, to the servers, etc. The ambiance was inviting and each member of the staff was polite and professional. It was my wife’s birthday, and she was greeted with a card at the table. We ordered the Chef’s Grand Tasting menu, BTW. I highly recommend it. We had two in our party who chose the a la carte and they were very satisfied as well. Joseph was very knowledgeable of each dish that came out, suggestions, specials and all the menu items. The owner made rounds throughout the night and made the time to stop by for a chat, which was genuine and welcoming. What a great night. It’s too bad we’re leaving the area. Otherwise, this would have become our go-to spot for years to come!

Great place. Great food. Excellent waiter. I got the 4 course tasting menu. The lobster second course really stood out. My wife had the scallops and loved them. My Ribeye was cooked perfectly. Dessert was fried blueberry pie and chocolate torte. Excellent evening

Grand Tasting Menu was superb. Each dish was outstanding. Don't know what else to say, really. I could review all 8 dishes but you will have to try it for yourself to fully appreciate the layers and intricacies of all the wonderful flavors.
