Manager/owner is very rude as some have already said and I couldn't agree more!! Would not want to return! Plenty of other nice venues to choose from around Adelaide/Adelaide Hills so I encourage others to look elsewhere. Not the best experience, especially when you're going there for a wedding. I definitely don't recommend this place!!

Silvestri's was absolutely wonderful , it had a beautiful venue and showed great hospitality and service when I attended a recent wedding there. The host John Silvestri was extremely kind and generous and the most meticulous person I have ever met. The food was fantastic so much so i could taste the amount of effort put into it and not to mention the staff were also wonderful and the only thing i felt bad about was when the host offered to clean up a glass vase which one of the guests broke and offered to pay the host for the glass vase but instead the host kindly said its ok the vase was only $50. Overall I highly recommend Silvestri's to anyone planning a wedding and i would love to be back as well. Thank you John Silvestri for everything.

We had our Wedding and Reception at Silvestris 3 years ago; I would definately recommend to have the Wedding Ceremony in the Garden at Silvestris, but I would definately look somewhere else to have the Reception; to avoid having the shine from being taken off your special day.
The most dissapointing feature of Silvestris venue for the reception was the host, as he didn't listen to us, and he dictated his "special" rules to us, and our family and friends at the Reception.
What also left us with a sour experience at Silvestris, is that he claimed that we damaged a chair and part of the bathroom during our time there, which was very unfair as we disagreed with him (as the chair was worn out from being used all the time and had a few screws missing because of it, and the bathroom had some mess which we cleaned up to a better condition than what it was before we got there).. but it didn't matter as he "knew better" and because of that, we did not receive all of our bond back...
There were a lot of hidden costs also, like if you want to have "Curtains" or "The Chandelier" or even an "Easel" present, it will hit your hip pocket more... but what we were very dissapointed about is that we had paid for the Reception venue till a certain time in the night, and the staff started to pack up the tables and the drinks early & while all of us were not finished yet.
All in all we had a great ceremony, and we will never forget our special day..

We had our wedding at Silvestri's on 22nd January 2022 and it was the most magical dream wedding we could ask for. John went above and beyond for us to make our dream wedding happen even with the pandemic with covid we had so much support from John. This place Silvestri's is breath taking when you see the private garden and venue you will be blown away. Our guest's also had the best time at our wedding the staff at Silvestri's and service was more than top expectation!!! The meals and drinks were amazing.Thank you John and the team for giving us our dream wedding.

My husband and I had our ceremony at Silvestri’s in November. The garden is absolutely stunning and I only took my husband there to look at the venue with my parents. He decided to book our ceremony on the spot. John looked after us and helped with any enquiries I had. I remember on the day John also helped me to get out of the car and was willing to fluff my dress after my bridesmaids had walked up the isle. Thank you for making our experience on the day wonderful!!!

The management discriminates against people because of their medical choices. They insist that entry will be denied to any people that have chosen not to subject themselves to the cvd jab (irreversible medical procedure still in trial phase). They even told a distraught bride that her father could not attend her wedding to give her away! There are plenty of great venues that still respect people's rights to make their own medical choices, so going elsewhere is advised.

I recently attended a wedding function at Silvestri's and was very impressed with the incredibly beautiful gardens and venue facilities. It's just such a beautiful location to celebrate getting married. The whole event was extremely well organised and the owner John made sure everyone was very well looked after. The whole day was something to remember and I know the bride and groom were very happy with the whole experience. I'd thoroughly recommend Silvestri's to anyone wanting to combine their wedding ceremony and reception at the one location. It makes it so much easier than getting married in one place and having the reception somewhere else.

The venue is lovely.
My Daughter in law had planned a brilliant wedding day with exacting attention to every detail. It was a perfect day for my Son and his Bride as they are so in love that nothing could spoil their day.
The only aspect they couldn't control was the service and attitude of Mr. Silvestri.
Sadly the staff and owner took the gloss off the experience. As has already been written, once the booking had been made the penny pinching began. There were so many hidden costs and extra payments required for things that are supplied as part of the deal at other venues. An example is seating in the garden setting, only 10 chairs are supplied and you have to pay if you want more. Then only to be insulted when asking for your deposit back when it is claimed a chair was broken. Quite unlikely since they were only sat on for approx 40 minutes.
My expectations were not met concerning the drinks package which was certainly paid for (for 4 hours). We had included sparkling wine which i had assumed would be available for toasting when the Bride and Groom made their entrance and again at the end of the speeches. I was left toasting the happy couple with water. The staff did not offer drinks, guests had to approach the bar for a glass of bubbly. Half an hour before the drinks package was to end, the half consumed bottle of still wine was removed from our table. When another drink was requested 1 glass was produced begrudgingly.
Our guests have told many unpleasant stories of their experience when dealing with John.
With more attention to detail and a desire to "exceed expectations" John Sivestri could turn this into a 5 star experience.
I enjoyed the lamb main course but feedback on the chicken and soup was very average.
The Wedding cake had two different flavoured tiers and this was meant to be served alternately to guests. Instead everyone at our table received lemon and there was a lot of the rasberry/White chocolate left at the end.
