Always enjoyed dining at Hammett House while living in Claremore several years ago. Was in Claremore today for a special event and stopped in to eat the best-ever chicken livers. They were scrumptious! Everything was outstanding; food, service and atmosphere. Menu seems to have expanded with so many options that all looked delicious. Family-owned and well-managed restaurant. Very reasonably priced.
I have been going here for years. This day was graduation day, yet the wait wasn't long and I never had to ask the waitress to bring me anything. I had fried shrimp and they were large and flavorful. I never ran out of tea, and my Mother didn't have to ask for more water. Truly a fine experience in a very busy day.
Stopped by on our way back to Joplin from Tulsa, and WOW is all I can say. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, the atmosphere was comfortable and the food was DELICIOUS! A man we believed to be the owner stopped by all the tables to check on us and was very friendly. This will now be a regular stop we make when we go to Tulsa.

Hammett House in Claremore Oklahoma is the best ever restaurant .Went there for my birthday dinner ! They keep it original, consistent with the menu items !
We were in town for a dance competition and happened upon this place, thanks to being number 1 on Trip Advisor. The food was really good, best friend green tomatoes I've had in a long time. Will definitely eat here the next time I'm in town.

Growing up in Texas then moving to Florida, I haven’t had good chicken fried steak in a long time. My search is over… it was delicious!! Hubby had the Amish Meatloaf. It was all so good. And just to top off good food, we had great service from Cindy. Very sweet, funny, and took fabulous care of us!!! I’m glad we don’t live closer!🤣 Thank you for the terrific dinner!!
Claremore Oklahoma's most established dining spot! Some of the best southern home-cooking style grub that you will find on the map. Fried Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak......And Those Pies! My goodness those pies are out of this world! Lemon-Pecan, Banana Cream, Chocolate, holy cow!! Folks come from all over the land to dine here. And now we know why.
Great spot to dine in, I am glad I got the opportunity to visit and dine in Hammett House, from friendly service to variety of their menu (salad, soup, maincourse desert) to cleaninig of their toilet and ample parking makes this restaurant one of my top choices of restaurants I visited.

So glad we stopped here. All the recommendations were right- this place was phenomenal! Wonderful food and the pies were amazing. Try the sour cream raisin pie- trust me it will change your life!

Old country style cooking. Their country fried steak was absolutely fantastic. Definitely one of the best I have had in a long time.
The service is great and friendly.
Try to leave room for dessert if you can. We ordered 2 pieces of pie, I did the Apple Delight and Stacy had their German chocolate pie. both were really good.
This is a place that you will enjoy for sure.
While it was good, do yourself a favor and ask about the special of the day; I didn't know this, when we recently visited. We walked in, seated rather promptly, and we were given fine friendly service. After ordering, one of our children needed the bathroom, took said child, then noticed a TV that had different tidbits of information; one of which, the special of that day. 5* would have been the rating if the staff was better prepared; especially since the special is something I would have ordered, had I been made aware.
