Stanford's Clackamas

Throw out the bright LED lights. Just uninstall them. Soon. Really great food, and prices are reasonable. Happy hour is a great deal, but lets talk about atmosphere. Around November 2023 there was an installation of new LED lights that were as bright as 747 landing gear. Ruined the whole cozy vibe for sure in the bar, entryway, and banquet rooms. Recently a dimmer has been installed - but the lights are still terrible and are still ruining hat was once a cozy, speakeasy sort of vibe. The LED lights now have a sort of flicker, the table mounted lights are tolerable, but everything now has a slight flicker. Overhead spot lighting, dim and cozy feel. Get back to what worked.

We stopped in to have the rack of ribs which are the best on the planet, in our opinion. Service is excellent and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfy. We had to skip dessert because we ordered the pear, pecan, blue cheese salad as a starter. Oh yumm! Start to finish perfect and leftovers to boot. Love this place!!

Everything was great, chicken salad sandwich had alot of celery and red onions in it that took away from the rest of the sandwich. The sandwich looked great when it came out, but just too much celery and onions for me. I will definitely be back and try another dish as I am looking forward to the steelhead chowder next time. Great and friendly service!

I went to order a take out dinner, though we've eaten there before. I was immediately greeted with a welcoming smile. My order placement went very nicely and the wait wasn't very long. I got the incredibly delicious steelhead dinner and the 12 oz. prime rib. They looked, smelled and tasted delicious and were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Stanford's is a family-friendly restaurant with rich, well-prepared meals.
