Review Jurassic Restaurant - City of Industry

I'm sorry but this place didn't do it for me. All the dishes we ordered were overly greasy. The Pepper Fried Squid came out way too soggy and not crispy enough. That is a major fail! I noticed too that their prices tend to be on the high side. Their stinky tofu is priced at $9.99! While others are pricing at around $6 - $7.50.

If you live in the San Gabriel area, then you have probably been to Uncle Yu's Indians. Jurassic is just another version of that, but a less nice version. I feel like they're trying to copy off them, but they're not doing as good of a job. The theme is unique though. Compared to Indians, the waitresses here are dressed more conservatively. It's also located in a pretty secluded shopping center, so it's not entirely convenient to get to compared to other places in the Rowland Heights/Industry area. Food :Not bad, but not top notch. I like the fried stinky tofu and the three cup chicken. If you run a Taiwanese restaurant and don't get these two dishes down, then you wouldn't do well. They do not have a problem here. The skewers on the other hand were okay. I got the chicken heart and the lamb. Lamb was not bad, but the heart failed here for me. It did not have enough flavoring on it. They have beers on the pitcher and in small or large bottles. I came on a weeknight and it wasn't really busy. Overall, it's a decent place to come eat at, but I would not deliberately drive all the way out here when there are many other places more convenient.

Nicely decorated Taiwanese restaurant themed in Jurassic Park. Even the waitress are dressed matching the theme. The whole concept it's pretty neat. Service is pretty nice and they do ask if we want to refill water often during my visit. Food wise is typical Taiwanese dishes but they do have a large selection. I like their stinky tofu. They also have a good selection of drinks from pearl tea, juice, to beer. It's a pretty good place for friends to meet up, eat, and chat.

Jurassic Restaurant is a dinosaur theme Taiwanese restaurant. There is a giant dinosaur skeleton in the middle of the restaurant. From the menu, we learned that Indian Beer house and Jurassic Restaurant have the same owner. But then the waitress told us that the owner actually sold Indian a while back. So now Jurassic Restaurant is the owner’s only restaurant. Taiwanese pickled cabbage was a free appetizer. The cabbage was crisp with a sweet and sour flavor. Very authentic three cups chicken. Large pieces of bone-in chicken thigh with the amazing 3-cup sauce and basil. Green Onion Lamb was recommended by our waitress. The lamb was very tender. It was sauteed with green onion, red bel pepper and black bean sauce. Great dish to go with white rice. Spicy Pork Intestine was marked as Jurassic’s specialty dish on the menu. It did not disappoint. Intestine, pork blood, pickled veggies in a thick spicy sauce. It’s a really good dish. Sauteed oyster with black bean sauce was a dish that my dad always order when we were in Taiwan. It brings me a lot of childhood memory. The flavor of the dish was good, but I didn’t like the huge oyster. The dish from Taiwan usually comes with small oyster, and I think it tastes better with the smaller ones. Having pretty waitress in sexy costumes is also what Jurassic is known for. The day we went, they had a cute Indian costume on. The waitresses were all very friendly and very cute. We love this restaurant, and planned to go back again with more friends so we can order more dishes. But the waitress informed us that they will close their door temporarily on 8/29/2016. The owner is going back to Taiwan for surgery. They will re-open again after the owner’s recovery. Hope the owner will have a speedy recovery, and we definitely will be back again.

I been there twice with my sister. So far, we like the food, and service. We ordered 岡山羊肉爐, and it was good. However, the portions of side dishes was a little bit small, and it was surprise that they only take cash for tip.

Cool place to hang out with friends, have few little glasses of beer, eat some good food, and have the cute waitresses take care of you.

Great fun décor, cute waitresses that can't get any order right and greasy awful food. Maybe they give bad food to white people? Sketchiest mall ever. But great dinosaur décor!

I liked the food but is annoying that they only accept cash tips for waitresses, come on don't be cheap and treat your wait staff right and allow tips to be added to credit cards.

Great for atmosphere. I'm not sure what region of the western Pacific this food comes from, but if you aren't used to tripe in your soup, you better have an iron stomach.
