Just found this place 2 months ago and I have brought 4 different friends & my family. My favorite is the Super Burrito with the grilled chicken.

Gilberto’s is a no frills small restaurant for a quick bite to eat. My experience has always been fast and friendly service with delicious carnitas tacos 🌮 the Guacamole 🥑 was just ok along with the chips.
Plenty of parking w/ reasonable priced Mexican food.
Great Mexican food. Service is great, food is really good surprisingly as the decor is super rustic/old. Don't let that fool you though, it's good. They have a full walk up condiments bar and some great hot hot sauce (pre-packaged) in to go cups. Chips are pretty good to.
Try this place, small hole in the wall but good.

We really enjoy coming here. The food is awesome, the service is great, and it seems to be a small family owned place. I go for their tacos and my husband enjoys their burritos
The Food here is beyond incredible litterly. Super nutritious fuel for your mind body and soul. The staff is so nice and hospitable that it's almost like an alternate realty in there. You know, because the whole world has litterly become the biggest loser a-hole versions of them selves right now. Excuse me I digress. I try to eat here as often as I can. Do your self a favor get the taco burger tube stake out of your unhealthy mouths for 1 minute and go get some Gilbertos. Your tum tum will thank you.
We moved here from SoCal and were very disappointed in the NorCal Mexican food scene. A neighbor suggested Jimboys and my family spit that disgusting food out!! 🤮 THEN we found Gilberto’s!!! Best REAL Mexican food we have found and eat here at least once a week! #TacoTuesdays
It's always the little "hole in the wall" restaurants that end up being the best spots, and this is certainly one of them. Their carne asada tastes AMAZING! All the prices are very reasonable for what you get as well. I always recommend it everyone when it comes to Mexican food.
The street tacos are amazing and would of received a 5 star if they hadn't forgotten to put my 2 bags of purchased jalapeños and carrots in my togo order lol
This place has the best burritos around no doubt, I found out about Gilbertos when I lived in citrus heights, now sometimes on the weekend I drove from shingle springs just for a breakfast burrito... theure that good
