Matthews Family Restaurant

I can't say enough good things about this place! Service is amazing, always getting seated quickly by friendly staff. Food comes out very quick and is very fresh. Even ordering to go food is ready in 10-20 minutes at most everytime. Their Denver omelette, hash browns and toast is one of my favorite dishes, although they do everything amazing - pancakes are huge, 2 are more than enough to fill you up.

My family and I had a great experience here. The staff was friendly and helpful, not to mention prompt with the refills. The food was so good and the portions were good sized. Food was cooked to perfection and our server was spot on with her menu suggestions and explanations. I'd highly recommend this gem. I'd love to see them expand their hours to include dinner.

First time going to Matthew’s after moving back to MN from NY, my mom moved to a townhouse nearby, and we decided to stop by and try it out. The service was pretty fast, and the server was nice. There is a questionnaire to fill out about the service after your meal. You can decide to fill it out or not, about the food and service. The food is at a decent price, and the volume was decent. I didn’t leave hungry, that’s for sure. The price-quantity ratio might be different from what you expect, but it is not a big chain restaurant; and it beats driving all the way to Northtown for Denny’s or Bakers Square for a sit down breakfast restaurant. You pay your bill at the register, so I wasn’t sure where I should’ve left her tip. I’m thinking I should’ve left it at the table, but I left it at the register.

This place is actually really great. The food I had was amazing and it had a lovely taste. I would just say that their lemonade has a strong taste that lasts for some time after you drink it (but it was good.) Also my mom says that the coffee was better with whipped cream on top than on its own. Overall a really amazing place.

Amazing food, large portions. Family oriented and has a senior menu. Best breakfast in Circle Pines and surrounding cities! My only critique is that our server didn't check on us after we got our food until we were done to ask if we wanted more water and never asked how the food was. Still giving 5 stars though for the amazing food will definately be back!
