This is the best breakfast in the city. I recommend the birds nest add sausage patties.
It was our first time here and we were very pleased. Delicious and friendly!! Will definitely be back! Biscuit and Gravy was awesome, YUMMMM!
Took the wrong turn, and found this gem of a restaurant right out of the past, a little old but charming outright friendly.got a stool at the counter, black coffee in a second, ordered number five chopped steak and eggs, what a great place!
Got to try this late a night.
Been here tons of times for breakfast. It's your classic diner. The food is usually good and the prices are pretty cheap. The only issue is sometimes the service can be a little slow
Excellent veggie quesadilla, good burger, okay potato soup, and subpar 'pinto bean soup' (bowl of beans with side of raw onion) and cornbread (cardboard?). Everything got delivered to our table at once. The home style cooking matches the home style atmosphere, with a hint of 50's style diner (the juke boxes in the booths work). Bonus - they're open all the time and have wifi.
Jukeboxes and yummies!. Oh my...talk about a hometown diner! I absolutely love this place and this was my first time here! They have the juke boxes on the wall, the counter seats near the kitchen, and the best country fried steak I ever stuck in my mouth!! Their meatloaf is a super close second to mine...and I am a meatloaf conisseur! So glad we stopped in...we'll be back!
You can get whatever you want.... At Bluebird Restaurant. This is probably the best genuine diner in the Cincinnati area. The menu is so diverse that it you’ll likely find just about anything you could hope to order for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Everything is tasty, service is always fast and friendly and the price is right. The Bluebird is the sparkling gem in Norwood’s crown.
I love the place!! My favorite is the breakfast special . With that great biscuits and gravy.
Deeeelicious.. We just went to this place based off reviews I saw on here. It is such a cute little diner. It reminds me of my short stint right outside of NYC. I got the eggs, homefries with cheese, half order of biscuits and gravy, and goetta. Everything was awesome. The biscuits and gravy were hands down my favorite. They were super fluffy and soft and the gravy with nice and peppery. (I love pepper). My boyfriend got a Philly Cheesteak and fries with cloeslaw.I thought it was good, fries were classic diner fries, and the coleslaw was very saucy and good. He said he didn't like it very much but he isn't a diner kind of guy, I personally thought it was delicious and hot off the grill. Definately worth a stop.
Best breakfast in Cincinnati ! #7 is the way to go, you get a little bit of everything.
Lunch at Bluebird. My son and I stopped in for lunch yesterday. The retro look really took me back to the days when family diners were all over the place and the franchises hadn't taken over yet. They even had "Bonanza" playing on TV! Food was good and priced reasonable. Service was excellent. I will definitely be back.
FAVORITE. We have never been disappointed here. Great food, great portions, great price........... what else do you need. Hometown feeling like you stepped into a movie set of a days gone by diner. My favorite dinner is the chicken fried chicken for dinner and their specials every night. My favorite breakfast is the Bluebird special- 2 eggs, meat, fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy.......yummy. We pick up the food as a carry out sometimes because it is better than any fast food place and a great price.
Great Breakfast. Good home cooked food at great prices. Fast service.
Great Breakfast Spot. Just plain solid tasty food at a tasty price (ala the Miller High Life delivery guy). Waitresses call you "honey", and refill before you get the chance to ask.....can't not like a place like that.
Clean, affordable, great service and yummy breakfast!. That says it all - it's my standard breakfast spot on the weekends. It's fantastic!
The biscuits and gravy were also tasty. The gravy was peppery and the biscuits were fluffy like good dumplings. There was a richness to the dish that reminded me of chicken and dumplings, but it was all breakfast.
All of our food was tasty and our service couldn’t have been nicer and more efficient. We will definitely be back for more.
Until recently you would have heard me bitching about there not being enough breakfast joints in Cincinnati. The complaint is unwarranted: there are plenty of places; I just wasn't looking hard enough.
So I've been on this wonderful food quest in the city of Cincinnati for some time now. I think I've explored nearly every darned "fancy" place in the city! There might be some I've missed - so feel free to send those my way. But now - I have a new quest.
More of a breakfast and lunch place than dinner so when they were out of meatloaf the veggie omelette sounded good. As good as it sounded it tasted even better. Legit. Menu is standard fare. Those in the know use the rear entry because of parking.
The food here is so good. The service is fast and very friendly. I will always recommend.
We came in as soon as they opened and ordered country fried steak breakfasts. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the delicious food was out quickly. We enjoyed every minute and the service was excellent. I can see why they get busy later in the day.
Great place for breakfast... Haven't had other meals. Down home place, very friendly staff. They still have the mini jukebox hanging at each booth to play your favorite Skeeter Davis song ;)
I've tried most of the menu. Not good for me, but very tasty. This is a greasy spoon sort of diner. Everything is very simple and they do simple well. My favorite things here are omelets and biscuits and gravy.
Go behind Walgreens and there is a parking lot. From that parking lot you can go in the glass door to the left. It's the back door to Bluebird. Otherwise, you can try to find parking on Montgomery in front of the restaurant. Montgomery Rd parking is metered, but it's free on the weekend.
Very nice home style cooking, good service, clean, reasonably priced. This was my second or third time there. I'd eat there again if I was in the area.
This place is great. It's very, very dated, but that's what I loved about it. The service was so nice and attentive. So many choices on the menu, you will definitely find something to eat.
Great hidden gem. The booths all have quarter jukeboxes that actually work! Food was very decent and the staff was lovely. Big place so the service was fast, no long wait.
Love the classic diner feel of this place! The waitresses and service is great. They make you feel right at home and the food is wonderful! All you can eat pancakes is a great deal too!
It's exactly the kind of local, lovable short-order diner you would want on a Sunday morning. Fair pricing and generous portions make this a go to breakfast spot for simple fair.
Quintessential diner in a small town on (Main Street) actually on Montgomery Road in Norwood Ohio is the breakfast, lunch and dinner place to find someone who cares about cooking and serving your meal. Perfect ly old fashioned with counters, booths and tables for larger groups. Coin operated jukebox, absolutely. Coffee? They make a fresh pot for you if you want to wait. I'll send you there.
Solid greasy spoon diner. Good quality, good value, flat-topped breakfasts. Be sure to bring change for the table-top jukeboxes.
Great down home, mom and pops type of restaurant! Great food, great prices and great portions. Family owned for years and extremely friendly staff. Great, fast service
Always great consistant service. Waitresses remember all their regular custoners orders and always have a good word. Just like going to a friends house for a meal. Homey and Good Food.
Good homestyle breakfast food and incredibly nice servers. Keep in mind that it was very busy on Sunday morning so be prepared to wait. Food was worth it though
