I've been to this long time staple more times than I can count over the years as I am born and raised as a Cincy Westsider. Sebastian's servers up a delicious, fresh no frills gyro sandwich. The place itself is nothing spectacular. It's all original and no updates in the 40 plus years of operation. It has seen the neighborhood change, but has remained the same, standing proud at it corner location.
Back to the food...The gyro meat is cooked perfectly and loaded onto a fresh pita wrap. Topped off with onions and a tomato. I add a nice helping full of their in-house tzatziki sauce to compliment my loaded gyro.
Sebastian's is a Cincinnati staple, with keeping things deliciously consistent after all these years.
My visit to Sebastian’s was completely unplanned. I call it an unexpectedly tasty adventure. After a morning of delivering presents for Angel Tree, my good friend Kenny declared that we all needed Sebastian’s gyros- a favorite of his from his college days. Now, I’m going to be honest, we might have been a little leery simply because it was only 10:30 in the morning. However, we’re always up for a new experience. After about five minutes of weaving around side streets I’ve never seen, sure enough, we were in Sebastian’s parking lot, just as he remembered it.
Definitely a good Gyro. Best in the world, or in town? Maybe, maybe not, but it didn't really have a stand-out "WOW!" factor that set it higher above average than other Gyro shops. But it was a tasty sandwich. I guess all the glowing reviews made me expect more? Small dining area, a no frills kind of place, and I think you have to go outside and around back to get to the restroom. Family owned and operated. I went all the way across town for it, and would definitely stop by if in the area, but probably won't make another 32 minute one-way trip any time soon. I'd be a regular if I lived near-by!
The food was good but overpriced. I got a "large" Greek salad for &8.75 and it was TINY! I'm used to paying that for a salad, but it is usually huge-way too much to eat in one sitting. Plus there was very little gyro meat on it. I left hungry
Very Good!! Autthentic and reasonabbly priced. Friendly, family/locally owned.
Mmm, gyros!. Great gyros and baklava for the price. Cozy atmosphere but a little run down.
Only negative is they don't take credit cards.
A must if visiting Cincinnati! I've had my fare share of gyros but the Gyro that they serve( usually served by a little Greek man named Alex) is phenomenal. You gotta get it with extra tiziki sauce!
Want authentic Greek food in a family atmosphere? Here's the place to go. Introduced to this amazing place by my good friend who ate here as a young child. Alex has made this restaurant something that you can't forget. The gyro is so delicious and flavorful, it melts in your mouth. With delicious toppings, Fetta being my absolute favorite. The lamb is always tender and juicy. And it's amazing to watch his put your gyro together. And there fries are to die for. Can't wait to go back!
Yum!. The best gyro's in town! Stop in and say Hi to Alex!
The Best. The best gyro shop in the Nati. I grew up in the neighborhood and worked the summers at a pool. Sebastians was where I learned to like foods more than McDonalds. Alex and his wife became friends to the point they taught me how to pronounce the food. To this day they do not take my order until I pronounce correctly. But a newbie they welcome with open arms and warm smiles. The meat is always grilled to perfection.
My first time I bought my current fiance and to be wife lunch I got it from here. (She worked at the local fifht third) I have had fond memories growing up including the older guy behind the counter hazing my dad (in a friendly way because of his cop uniform) I could not imagine a better place to spend my money when I am craving a Gyro.
They don't accept card but I've tried every other gyro place in the area and they really do have something special going on here.
Id buy lunch from. Here more often if I wasn't forced to work in northern cincy, best gyros in the city by far.
Love this spot! Authentic and very charming! Food was absolutely fantastic.
I love the gyros! Took a long break after new owners took over, but that was my loss. The food is good if not better than before. The interior certainly looks a lot better; I actually considered dining in during my last visit. And, no small matter, but they accept credit cards, now!!! I miss seeing Alex there, but he obviously left the place in really good hands.
Been coming here for going on 16 years, and I’m glad I’m still able to continue to come and enjoy it. Brings back memories every time I go. It’s a wonderful restaurant with amazing food.
The best Greek restaurant I have ever visited. The food is excellent, beyond my expectations. Very clean, good vibe, lovely and friendly people. It is my favorite restaurant! I strongly recommend it!!!
Very clean, very quaint, wonderful vibes, and very generous portions on the large Greek salad.
When the only single thing I can find a criticize is that the lettuce in the salad was cut ever so slightly too small that it was hard to get enough lettuce on my fork with all the massive chunks of meat and cheese and tomato and onions and olives, I think that speaks for a pretty damn good place!
Great food, great service. No seriously the best gyro around!
Ps. I just get the meat here.. no pita.
This is the best gyros in town with some homemade pastries and a long time Westside Hangout. They have the best Gyros and seasoned fries. I highly recommend it.
Authentic Greek food! Delicious plates!!! Service is amazing and atmosphere is great!!! My family and I enjoyed great dinner! I recommend it!!!
They have the best gyros in the city no doubt about that. And their cucumbers sauce is sooo good! There fries are perfect too!
