Cactus Pear Restaurant - Cincinnati - Photo album

My fiance and I had a really great time here. I used to work here way back in 2001... Can't believe this place is still open!! People still drive from far (like I did today) just for the chips and salsa, which I highly recommend (of course, now they charge for it, but it's worth the $2.50)... I also
Loved the food and service. I did have a reaction I typically have at restaurants that use a chemical to keep the lettuce fresh looking. Will likely not order a salad again.
Decent tex-mex place. The location is within walking distance of the Cincinnati zoo; we ate here for lunch when we went to the zoo. The flavor on the cheese fajita was bland, my partner's blue corn fajitas definitely turned out better. The speed of the service was quite impressive.
Excellent local standby that's been around for over 30 years. The place looks a little rough around the edges but it's quality food with a nice owner and a friendly front of house. Recommended.
Best taco I've ever made and had! The chicken was perfect and such good flavor, and I'm usually a ground beef guy! FYI they don't offer ground beef but it didn't matter. I will definitely be back.
Great food and amazing margaritas! The courtyard is cute! Mask wearing could be a little better...
My absolute favorite margaritas out of any Mexican restaurant I've been to. The bartender Tracy is almost always working and shes SUPER nice and helpful! Ive been coming here for years, and my two favorite things are the chicken nacho salad, and their frozen prickly pear margarita
Grabbed lunch to go. Loved the queso although my quesadillas were a bit bland (so I dipped it in the queso). Can’t speak to any of the complaints about the inside of the place.
Haven't been here in years. Food was still delicious.
Jess was the most fun, personable, hard working, and dedicated employee I have ever seen at any restaurant in my entire life. It is clear that she runs cactus pear and I can’t imagine that place without her. Food was also very good. Drinks were better.
Awesome salsa. Had the steak and avocado sandwich. Too much bread for me, so I deconstructed the sandwich. Very tasty. Got fresh fruit instead of fries. Only trouble was parking.
