Skyline Chili

This was a fun, unique experience. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and it was fun to watch the food being prepared adjacent to the dining area. Everyone was very friendly. The waitress went out of her way to make it a special event. And that included helping us put on bibs before we ate. Nice touch when you're having lunch and chili is on the menu. She also guided us through the menu. That's why I would say instead of just having lunch we had a fun experience. It was fascinating watching the kitchen staff prepare the dishes. They were doing an incredible volume but still every plate that left looked great. It is not fancy fine dining. But the food is delicious and it was a great experience!

I forgot to post my review when I went. I was in Cincinnati for a conference, and a few people suggested Skyline Chili for lunch. Omg, the chili is so good!! I had the Chili 4-way. The service was excellent. I wish I lived closer because I'd eat there all the time! If you are visiting Cincinnati, make sure you go at least once!

The kids and I really enjoyed our food here. I had a salad, and Regular size 3 way (spaghetti, chili, cheese), som had 3- chili cheese dogs, daughter had chili cheese fries, other son had the 3 way with their habanero cheese. It was all great, great price, great service! I’d high recommend using their hot sauce too!

I lucked out and visited on Opening Day for the Reds, and Skyline was packed. The staff was super-helpful and helped me find a seat and score some chili pretty quickly. I mean, some of their patrons even wore stuffed Skyline hats... It's easy to see why this is a Cincinnati institution. Unique, local food, customers and employees that already know each other, and everyone is treated with respect and speed, at great prices. I'm more of a southern chili lover myself, but I've got nothing but respect for this place. Well worth a visit for anyone in downtown Cincinnati.
