Taft's Ale House - Cincinnati - Photo album

Sadly I write this review just a week shy of their permanent closure. My wife and I have been wanting to give Taft’s a try for a while now after seeing pictures of the inside! And I gotta say, it’s a real shame they’re closing! Taft’s Alehouse is located in an old, restored church and it’s absolute
The building is beautiful and the food and drinks are delicious! Had the Tri-Tip Steak Salad and the meat was tender and not over cooked. Lots of picnic table seating and more seating on the upper loft.
Super excellent venue- fully renovated 1850 St Paul's Church. Venue and location is definitely the biggest attraction, and the beer is also quite good. We visited on a Thursday evening, enjoyed 3 beers, apps, and dinner. The beer was all 4/5, the loaded tots and pretzel apps were good, and the food
This place is a must stop if you are into craft beers. We stopped in with the boys for some food and brews. The food was tasty, and the service was great. We tried the Big Billy and the loaded tater tots. Inexpensive parking was available a block away.
Pretty good place to grab a few beers with friends, with an excellent atmosphere. The place itself is decorated in a really cool way, with an open first floor and a second floor that goes around the perimeter, so you can see the floor below. Staff are nice and fast enough, and their beer selection i
What an amazing location! This place is massive, historic, and beautifully maintained. A variety of beer selection is available along with tasteful bar food. The bartender/server was well versed in the beer selection and made great recommendations based on our preferences. If you are in OTR and enj
This was a nice brewery in an old church. I got a flight of five beers; most of which I liked. I also tried the loaded tots, which tasted decent. The bartenders were friendly and gave us different variations on the history of the place. It was fairly busy on a Thursday night.
We had a nice casual meal ahead of attending the opera at the nearby Cincinnati Music Hall. The food was great - the burgers, salads and most of all the Bavarian pretzel with the beer cheese. Atmosphere was great - the location is a deconsecrated church, TVs for viewing events and even the upper c
This brewery is in an old church. It is so unique. We arrived at downtown Cincinnati around 9:30 so we visited Smale Riverfront park , Findlay market first. We had three different IPAs at Taft’s. They are all good. I loved the wings. The service is super.
We visited the Taproom on Friday night and were extremely impressed with the stellar hospitality service provided by a solo bartender covering the outdoor seating area, bar, and tabletops inside the Taproom. Great conversation, jokes, food recommendations, and personality. Our group enjoyed the Bu
Super cool spot with very good bar food and friendly service. The beer is fine but nothing special.
Great venue with a restored church in downtown. Decent beer choices, but would like to see more lighter choices like some wheats or blondes. Had this Thru the Grapevine which was an unbelievable balance if sweet n sour. Not your average beer but really good. Food was delicious. Wings were perfectl
Old church they turned into a cool place to grab some food and brew. Super waitress and food was spot on! Fish and chips was very good. Fish was very flaky, but 3/4 of the bowl was fries. The Tri tip salad was awesome! Done to perfection with honey balsamic dressing. Definitely recommend!!!
Absolutely wonderful aesthetics! This place used to be a church so the beer hall is huge and very grand. The food is also good but the real highlights are the drinks. The beers are great! The tart ale and the cold boy were our favourites.
Conveniently located near Washington Park, TQL stadium, and many other attractions. For larger parties, at least 4 people must be present to be seated. Lots of seating, wide offering of Taft’s ales, full bar, and a variety on the menu. Known for their tri-tip steak, it’s offered many ways. Cooked to
We had the chicken wings with cherry wood bbq, tots, and a sample of 5 ales (flights). Everything was delicious and arrived in a timely manner. It was great fun eating in such a historic building! This is definitely a Cincinnati must see!
Taft’s is such an amazing venue in an old church. They have a wide selection of beers and a good sized menu of great food. Service was friendly and great, and our server helped us select the best beer for our preference. The bathrooms were also quaint and well kept.
I went right as the kitchen was about to close. Our bartender was really friendly and helped us with our order quickly and efficiently just in time. The place was very clean, great relaxing place to bring friends and chat or play games. I believe the wings were double fried, they were really good. I
