They have a great variety of tacos, all of them are tasty. I always order 3 or 4 different tacos and a bean and cheese burrito for the next day. Always friendly and helpful staff

Tacos Mari, also known as Tacos Mary, BETTER known as Tacos de Acapulco, has been a staple in Chico for 20+yrs. Located at 5th & Ivy, this hideaway gem is a treat for longtime residents. Time to tell you why. Went in for lunch to order the Combo Nachos and 2 hard shell Tacos... NO street Tacos this time. The nachos consisted of 2 choices of meat...I chose the Puerco Colorado (rich and flavorful and full of sauce) and chicken over the chips, then came the lettuce, tomato, onions, sour cream, avocado, and jalapeños. It weighs well over 3lbs, and can't be eaten in 1 sitting. The tacos were basic chicken, lettuce, tomato, and a red sauce in a crunchy shell...but the chicken is anything but basic. Shredded perfectly, and seasoned just right with a hint of spice to warm the tongue. Folks, you simply can't go wrong with anything on this menu. It's hard to stay in business for so long without perfecting your craft...and they have!! This is just 1 reason I've been frequenting this establishment for SO LONG. 1 small notice...NO radishes, to which I'm thankful. Just try this place once, order your favorite dish, and see for yourself. Tacos Mari ranks in the top 5-10% in town. Now you know.

AFTER COMING FROM THE BAR JUST A HOP SKIP AWAY ACROSS THE STREET JUST TO BE EXACT. GREAT FLAVORED 🌮 TACOS, QUESADILLA, AND MULITAS.
THE ONLY THING I HAD TO TELL THE GUY THREE- FOUR TIMES NO ONIONS 🧅 ON THE TACOS FOR MY WIFE. OPENED TIL 2AM GREAT SPOT AFTER THE BAR.NO AC INSIDE TAKE THEM TO GO OR EAT OUSIDE.

Very greasy. Huge portions. Price ok. Super friendly staff. No AC, so make sure u get it to go, or you'll be sweating profusely! 🥵
Authentic. Wouldn't be 1st, 2nd or 3rd recommendation, but maybe the 4th. For drunk kids, perfect for in morning for hangover due to GREASE.

I got the nachos supreme.
Hands down the best nachos I've had thus far, and it was put in a paper Togo box. That really made me happy. Also, friendly staff!

Yeeee!!! Lol I got a half chicken n steak burrito with salsa verde in side!! The tenderness 5 stars!! The flavors 5 stars it was amazing to me! Thank you so much! I’m in Oroville so there is ok spots but nothing like this great tasting place!! Authentic Greatness in your face!!😋

I ordered a carne asada burrito today. What I got was El pastor. I decided not to make a big deal out of it and just eat the thing but it literally tasted like they used spaghetti sauce in it. Still not complaining at this point. But when I found the fingernail I was livid. Never eat here.

Been thinking about a taquito burrito for the last 8 years. Finally visited Chico again and made sure to stop and get one. The place is funky, simple, but the food is amazing. Made fresh to order. Would this taquito burrito be as good as it was 8 years ago? Yes!! Delicious!!
