The Budlong Hot Chicken

We had the classic chicken sandwich and it was delicious! Inside the sandwich was honestly the best cole slaw (farm slaw) we've had. It complimented the heat from the spiciness with every bite. The mac and cheese was very creamy and had a nice flavor to it. The star of the show was the banana pudding!!! We had to take another one to go after our meal. Yummy!!

Food was delicious, tried the tenders and Mac and cheese. The cherry on top had to be the pickles. Only bad thing was the service. I have been waiting to try and dine in here and once that became an option I has hoping for great service but instead got a very unenthusiastic welcome and no follow up service. Sad to see that this restaurant is not happy to see people coming back to dine in this restaurant.

First time trying this place. I placed an order for pickup. I ordered 2 chicken sandwiches- excellent- great texture and flavor with the slaw added. Highly recommended! The macaroni and mashed potatoes lacked flavor- but were not awful. The biscuit with raspberry sauce was tasty. The wings were AWFUL! Not sure if the meat was old or what, but the taste was terrible. I ate one and tossed the other 4. They threw in an order of fries- how do you screw up french fries.. ?? Personally, I would stick with the chicken sandwich.

I went on 9/1/2020 to the Western location, whoever the host was this day was very inconsiderate. I told her it was my first time & I needed a moment to look over the menu. As a customer, stating it’s my first time she should have made sure to explain if sauce on the sandwich is an option and not guaranteed (as shown in the pictures online). I was served a hard bun and no sauce at all. This definitely falls on the cook as well. It was very dry. The macaroni wasn’t good at all. I asked to trade it for something else (I had a small taste it was still a full serving) and she refused to accommodate me. She said the only thing she could do was charge me for another side. That’s not the best way to conduct business when she knew I wasn’t satisfied & already paid. The chicken it’s self was good. I am willing to try again but I’ll never go back to the Western location. It’s important to understand that the first impression means a lot.
