Vosges Haut-chocolat

I feel lucky to have googled and found this gem in my own backyard. If you are looking for a unique and special gift for the chocolate lover in your life look no further! I sent an assortment of truffles to my daughter in Colorado for her birthday and was thrilled with the product and service. My daughter loved the selection and especially enjoyed the pairing guide and tasting notes! I appreciated a personal email to clarify shipping instructions. I will shop here again.

Expensive and fancy chocolate! Is it worth it? Sometimes... They make really cute gifts to people and the interesting mix of flavors make it worth a try. Sometimes you luck out. There's one with Michigan cherries in it that's fantastic as well as one flavored with Mexican chili. Their truffle sets are a treat too as you can create a set of mixed truffles with unusual flavors. The store is beautifully decorated and there are free samples (bonus!) so you can stop and see if it's worth your money.

For true chocolate lovers, chocolate is a food group separate from all the others, and just as vital. Vosges caters perfectly to me and anyone else with this inclination. Their chocolate is amazing, as well as their incredible variety of other ingredients. I’m a regular at their Lincoln Park location, just underneath a brown line stop. At this location they have a really cool spot you can sit down, try several different chocolates, and have them paired with select wines and beers. It’s chocolate lovers’ heaven.

I've always loved their chocolate bars but it was a real treat to discover their truffle bar. The shop looks small from the outside but it's full of bite sized gifts and a cafe and bar in the back. Here you can create a custom box of truffles or enjoy a few over a glass for wine or coffee at one of the Parisian tables. I highly recommend for chocolate lover or if you're shopping for a special treat.

I stopped in to grab some gifts for Valentine's day and was immediately helped by one of their concierges. She got exactly what I needed, made me aware of special promotions, and answered my questions thoroughly. Beyond that, the chocolate is delicious! I was very impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

This is the best chocolate ever!!! I am totally addicted to the Guajillo & Chipotle Chili Super Dark Chocolate bar. The blend of these flavors is just heavenly. I must agree a bit with a previously made comment that a few of the employees at this store can be a bit pushy. It all depends upon who is working the day you visit. At times they need to soften their sales technique. Keep it uplifting and fun like your products.

I can't say enough good things about Vosges. Their product is amazing and I'm really impressed how they continue to build their brand and take advantage of their brick and mortar storefront. And did I mention they have samples out all the time?! Friday evenings, 4-6pm they have a cocktail hour which features wine/champagne and chocolate pairings. Seasonally they have great offerings with Easter and winter taking the cake. Their full size bars ($8 ea) are a great last minute gift or perfect for that small gesture.
