Excellent staff, super yummy food (probably one of the best burgers I have ever had), & great cocktail list! The reno that was done to each of the theaters is absolutely beautiful! If ya haven't been, do yourself a favor, GO!

What a great combination of old and new. The restored theaters are amazing. The work that went into keeping the original facade was well worth it. Amazing sound and picture quality. The restaurant and bar area is top notch with friendly staff. The old fashioned is a must have.

Best part of going to Davis theater is you can go to carbon arc afterwards to eat. I still dream about their fries . I'm sure they are double fried. Some how its soft and chewy in the inside and super crispy on the outside. Not too thin , just right Also got the smash burger with bacon, brussel sprouts, cheese curds, fish taco, churros. Everything was nicely done and perfect for an evening Highly recommend coming here for just drinks even + their fries and curds before a movie. Their drinks are pretty good like the new dirty martini More on Instagram @midwestmunching

Had dinner at 5pm on a Friday night and had our pick of tables. Great, friendly service. I ordered a beer (bodem), shared the roasted brussel sprouts app, and had a smashburger (double patty, lettuce, onion, tomato and cheese). The burger comes half-wrapped in insulated paper, which keeps it hot and the cheese melted while also making it easier to pick up and put back down. The fries came in a mini replica of a fry basket, and were crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside; just right. The brussel sprouts were outstanding, coming with a red thai sauce that was sweeter than it was spicy, and went well with the blackened, roasty flavor of the b sprouts. We had our water refilled and were checked on a few times. In and out in an hour, in time to catch a 6pm showing at the Davis next door (connected).

Stumbled upon Carbon Arc while walking through Lincoln Square. Was looking for a few cocktails and they had a wonderful selection. Tried the peach old fashioned and it was super smooth and well presented. Also tried their puppy chow and everything but the bagel popcorn. Was a nice snack to enjoy with our drinks. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. Will have to come back and check out more food options prior to a movie!

I had a great experience at Carbon Arc Bar & Board. I was there for Tuesday's trivia night which was a lot of fun! The staff was very attentive all night. I had the Bollywood burger and fries. The burger was delicious and unique - it has the flavor profile of Indian cuisine including a little heat but still the essence of a burger. A totally unexpected (in a good way) experience. I would definitely get it again. Fries were crispy but not greasy. We split the S'more Brownie desert and it was amazing. Gooey chocolate brownie topped with marshmallows and Graham crackers baked and served in a skillet - it tasted as good as it looked, once it cooled enough to eat. Only minor setback is that because it is served in the hot skillet the brownie continued to cook. It was a little overdone/burned on the bottom in some places but it didn't take away much from the dish - it kind of made it feel like a true campfire desert! I'll definitely be back.

Friendly staff, plenty of space, and really good food at decent prices. It's really close to the Western Brown Line, and there is street parking (though it can get a scarce at busy hours). They also have specials and, since they are connected to the Davis, are very mindful about making sure you get to your movie on time (if you are seeing one, that is. Great place just to hang with friends, too).

We came in Thursday to grab dinner prior to our movie. We sat at the bar & got 2 orders of fish tacos & a beer for my husband. I’m pregnant so I asked for the mojito with no alcohol. I was a little embarrassed to order that but the bartender Ian was so nice & accommodating. It was so tasty. Our food came and the fish tacos were delicious! We ordered the churros for dessert & wow were they good! They were warm & crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside & came with an ancho Chile dipping sauce! The food was great but my review is really for the service! Ian was so warm & welcoming! And very attentive, even making sure to ask what time our movie was so as to make sure the food came out quickly. When the bill came Ian didn’t charge me for my mocktail & applied a Thursday special discount that we weren’t aware of. Our bill only came out to be like $35 for 2 meals, multiple drinks & dessert! I left a $20 tip as Ian totally deserved it! He even gave us to go cups for our water for the movie. It was wonderful service but he just seems like a really good guy. It really makes me want to come every Thursday to eat, see a movie & get served by Ian again! We’ll definitely be back.

Regarding the beer fest reviews, any festival you go to prices are going to be high or even upcharged. Carbon is a small business and with the food prices going up I'm willing to pay for quality! Also if you read their menu theres no secrets!! All burgers for the event said that they were single patties, with the option to add another upon request! With that being said everything was delicious and I would've paid $20 for it! Great food and great service.

Overall: A surprisingly great "bar" experience, both food and ambiance-wise. The good: There's plenty of seating and the atmosphere of the entire place is clean and (obviously) movie-themed but still comfortable. There's multiple TVs playing a range of old movies, classics, and sports at the bar. The menu is perfect for a typical American pub experience, but it has an elevated feel to it with additions such as tuna and grain-based bowls. The BBQ pork pizza we had was cheesy and filling with a flaky and crisp crust. And, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention our great server! The not-so-good: They were out of multiple beer drafts that we selected over the night, and my fiance was not a fan of one of the cocktails she had (the rosemary one). The pizza overall was very good, but it lacked toppings and for $22 it felt a little too pricey. Food/drink: 8/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Service: 9/10
