When I went there to eat there was a man and a woman who waited on me who were very pleasant. I ordered the lamb karayee with the white rice which is similar to a stew and came with pita bread. There was a dish of hot sauce at the table that he told me about. I tried a bit of it and it was so good
One of my favorite restaurants of all time. Staff and owners are friendly and gracious. The interior is refreshingly simple. Get the sheer chai, I could drink it all day. I make it a priority to visit at least twice whenever I am in Chicago—no other place even comes close to Afghan Kabob’s food.
Food was delicious. We had the Chef's Sampler appetizer and Kebab dinners (one Lamb, one Beef). The dinners come with chicken soup, which exceptional. Wait staff were attentive and the atmosphere was comfortable.
EVERY TIME I'm in Chicago with students I take them to Afghan Kabob because the food is authentic and consistently excellent. We usually have a large group and the restaurant staff always go out of their way to take good care of us. The Lamb Shank is AMAZING. I love the kebabs too.

although 8-10 tables, appears to be catering mostly to Delivery orders with disinterested service staff (family run place), the mother-daughter duo spent most of their time glued to their cellphones.
Good kabobs, low prices. The food here is always fresh and there has not ever been a long wait. I know there are many Mediterranean places in this area so it is always hard to pick a place but this place is usually a good pick for lunch.
Great place to enjoy authentic Afghani food. Let your taste buds burst with flavor of the place where no superpower has been able to control.

Wowza. Fantastic food, including these dumplings that are just so yum. The kabobs are of course the main draw. The owner is kind and personable, seating is casual, and yes, we need more of these restaurants round here.
Afghan Kabob is a quiet and peaceful place to eat with a friendly owner who attends you. The lamb kabob was great, one of the most delicious I've had in a long time with very tender meat. Only the rice is a bit too greasy which makes it more delicious but not super healthy.
The food is amazing. I get there lamb shank every time and the meat falls off the bone. The jasmine rice with raisins and carrots is delicious. Finish off with a chai tea and you'll be in heaven.
Food is very delicious especially their recommended "Murgh" dish. But the wait time sometimes is too long. I think they are always short staffed ... but most of the time they compensate you for the wait by giving you a free dessert.
The Vegetarian Sampler appetizer is outstanding. All four included apps are good to incredible. The Bulanee Mushroom is good and comes with a delicious yogurt sauce. I LOVE Afghan food...so I decided to give this place a try. The food was good...the service friendly. But the CHAI, the PINK CHAI WAS AMAZING!!! I'm craving more of it.
