I've been coming to this restaurant ever since I moved into the neighborhood. My landlords gave me a $25 gift card. I used to go to a neighborhood pizza joint but Joe's Rocks. From the pizza to the fried chicken, which I order 2 12pcs of chicken, and have it for the week. Their breading on the chicken is PHENOMENAL and fried to perfection. Crispy outside, juicy on the inside. Plus a very friend staff which represents the restaurant as a family place. They know everyone that comes into this place. If you want to try a great neighborhood place come and check out Joe's.
The best thin pizza joint in all of Jefferson Park! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, & even better food. It's a must for all Chicagoans!
I hadn't had a pizza from Joe's in 40 years. A band I was in back then got them from there because it was a block or two away from where we rehearsed. I happened to pass it last night and when my wife said she wanted pizza tonight, I said let's get it from Joe's. Am I glad I did. This has got to be the crispiest pizza crust I've ever had. Thin and crispy and not limp. Everything else, the cheese, sauce, spices, and sausage were good, too, but I've never had a crust that crispy. I've had cracker-thin crusts before but this was head and shoulders better than the others.
We’ve ordered a lot of food from here over the years and have never had even a remotely bad experience. We even had them cater my son’s baptism in July and they blew our expectations out of the water. Everyone of my 40+ guests kept asking where the food was from. The chicken parm is my personal favorite, followed up by the Marsala, and the pizza is the definition of great Chicago bar pizza. Even though we moved about 3 miles away, we still keep this place on speed dial.
Great thin crust tavern style pizza! Didn’t disappoint. I’ll be back.
I went here for dinner. I had the Italian Sausage sandwich and it was very good. The fries were good also. The sausage was high quality and the red sauce was excellent.
It also came with coleslaw, which was great. I'm picky about my coleslaw and I really liked this one.
The people are friendly. The place is clean and looks well kept.
I will continue to go here.
Bicycling: Higgins would be just an okay road to ride on. You would be better off on the local side streets. I didn't see any outdoor seating or notice a bicycle rack.
Great Pizza. I tried their vodka sauce, and it was fantastic. You have to try this place for excellent food.
We live in walking distance of Joe's and order from here every 1-2 weeks. This pizza is legitimately the best tavern-style pizza I've had in Chicago! We actually make it a point to get Joe's when friends come in from out of town because we love it that much. The white pizza is my favorite, and my husband is a big fan of the buffalo chicken pizza. Can't recommend enough.
