Bombacigno's J & C Restaurant - Chicago - Photo album

My favorite sandwich / lunch place downtown. The focaccia sub is the absolute best. Real, fresh cottage fries. Eclectic, nostalgic decor. Looks like a dive from the outside, but go in - you won't be disappointed. Family run, friendly staff. Absolutely unique in the South Loop. Using the dining area
Wonderful, cozy, old school place with friendly service and fantastic Italian sandwiches. Highly recommended!
Classic Italian old style tavern with authentic touch. Plenty of meal options so you never get tired to tried something new. Surely not fancy but unique experience. Only downside side is the cash-only rule. Recommended for the price too
They don’t make them like this anymore. A unique place with loads of character, quality homemade food, and a relaxing homey atmosphere. Great Italian sub and eggplant parmesan, with crispy cottage fries on the side. Sit at the bar and take in the amazing collection of bar-related antiques, old film

I’ve worked a few blocks from Bombacignos for years now, but I didn’t even know it existed until recently. I can’t believe it took me this long to discover it. The smoked turkey on focaccia sandwich might be the best lunch item in the Loop area. The cottage fries are also delicious, served hot an
Old school Italian Chicago deli/subs - oozing with charm and days gone by, this old world food spot will have you coming back if only for the experience. I had the Italian Beef, which does not stand up to Al's or Portillos but it wasn't terrible. Constant buzz of others, many whom appear to be regul
