I looooove this place and had a great time at City Social, met here for dinner and drinks with friends before a show. We were greeted by the manager who was warm and funny! The restaurant is beautiful; has great lighting with the wood paneled walls. We started with drinks- had their Grandma's Porch, and bourbon on the rocks. Try the tuna/brussels sprout salad: to die for!! Staff was quick, made recommendations to the menu (which I really appreciate as I'm so indecisive!) and gave us enough time to enjoy each course before cleaning our plates up. Will be visiting again! Have some family visiting Chicago and would like to show a place like this off ;)

Great service from server Lexie. The cocktails were delicious and felt like I was at my spot in Dallas. Come through Blueberry peach margarita.

It was a great experience- we had a party of 8 and went during the lunch rush so our time was limited. The food was excellent and our server was great for her 1st time alone.

Very busy. Very loud. Very good. Excellent choice of beers, wines and spirits. The staff are really on the ball. 14 big screens showing all available sports. I didn't eat but what I saw looked pretty good.

Had an amazing experience here with some friends. Got here around the time they opened and we were seated where we wanted to. As time went on we saw the restaurant pick up as more customers got there and it was packed by the time we left. Food was amazing and well prepared. Service was excellent and the waitstaff were so incredibly accommodating. Most definitely coming back here again.

I had to write a review because I have no idea why this place is rated so low. My husband and I came before a show and had a fantastic experience. The service staff was friendly and efficient, the vibes are good and the food was delicious. I had the chicken club and he had the short rib- both were very juicy and flavorful. Highly recommend checking this place out and giving it a chance despite other reviews!

I must say Social City is a nice restaurant to visit for Happy Hour. The atmosphere is great, the waitress is attentive, and the wait time for your meal was excellent and fast. The food came out hot and the drink selection is definitely on point. The restaurant gets a thumbs 👍 for me!!! I am not a fan for the calamari tho 😔 just my opinion to salty

Came in with a large group so I will give some leeway. Our server was great, very attentive and always on time. I got chicken with my Caesar salad and part of the chicken was great, some of it was so overcooked I couldn't even stab it with my fork. Steak sandwich was also ordered and the cut of meat was tough and unflavorful. Big groups are hard but I think food should at least be cooked evenly.

As soon as you enter you're greeted with a nice and friendly face. That goes a long way and it's appreciated. It's a cute swanky place and was crowded at almost 5 pm on a Tuesday. In the photos, you see the food we ordered originally but sent back. Unfortunately, it was bad even the French fries were loaded with too much salt, the crabcake sandwich was not done and my friend said the salmon tasted like it came straight out of the water. No seasoning. No taste. We ordered new food. Bam bam shrimp and the same shrimp tacos. A much better selection for us both.... the servers were extremely nice they were but the service was slow. We didn't try the drinks but it was many ppl at the bar. It's not a bad place, we just won't be back.

Walked in to the first place I saw after a very frustrating DMV experience, and wow was I surprised. Food was great, drinks were great, vibe was great, service was great, and it got busy as well. Highly recommended as a place to hang out in The Loop 👍

Nice place for lunch in downtown with plenty of tables. I went around noon but didn't need a reservation for 4. The salad I had was good but would have preferred a bigger piece of salmon and a smaller crouton. The table outside was also a bit cramped but there is a neat mosaic over the tables.

Great spot for a quick meal before a show. Giant bar, one of the longest I've ever seen. The food was pretty good. We had the tacos and a burger. The service wasnt great but there were only two bar Tenders serving the whole place so they were busy for sure. I think they could staff more but I am guessing the rushes are short. So I imagine it service more prompt after 730 when most shows start.

Only on for drinks. Nice bright, cherry place. Nice screens for sports. A little loud with high ceilings etc. Good for groups.

This place has a nice short menu with good options, nice working in town vibes, and can work for casual meetings. If you need a quiet setting - this is not it. Also they can work on their salad portions too small.

Went here for a holiday party. The place looks awesome, and it is very large and able to accommodate large groups. However, the service was a little slow as they had to serve the entire bar and not just the party. They have a wide drink selection with rarer offerings than other places in the loop.

Hangout bar in the downtown loop with nice music and ambience. They've got a large selection of shareables and large plates. The Nashville Hot chicken sandwich is more like a toast and is pretty mild as opposed to being fiery hot. Drinks are reasonably priced and there's plenty of seating space unless you're here at peak hours on Thu-Fri evenings.
