I enjoyed my time here. The decor is nautical. Mon-thurs they have all you can eat Snow Crab and a side for $70.00. I got a combination meal. I got the twin lobster and NY strip steak. I got two sides. So I got the new potatoes and french fries. I thought the lobster would be more sweet. It was kind of flavorless. They have RC on fountain . I got a 7up. They do have Matilda from Goose Island on draft. Our waiter was wonderful very attentive. I never had to ask for more pop. They do add 18% gratuity. I had the popcorn shrimp for an appetizer. Very tasty. The cocktail sauce was a little spicy, but still good. They give you a garlic pita bread and that is so amazing!
What a cute spot!
So lucky I found this place. Order two drinks so you can enjoy the bar menu ! Anytime in the day ,doesn’t have time limits.
If you are a oyster lover you definitely should check it out !
Overall good experience mostly carried by the greatness of the staff.
Crabs are obviously previously frozen and shredded like crazy coming out of the shell, which is always a hassle (especially at these prices), but the clam chowder and little bits of garlic bread were a wonderful surprise.
8.5 out of 10 for me.
Best oyster bar special in Chicago, fre! If you sit at the bar, oysters are $.85 each, jumbo shrimp are $.95 each, and wings are $.65 each! The special is only if sitting at the bar and there is a 2 alcoholic drink per person minimum rule. Don’t forget the rest of the menu though - the crab is always perfectly cooked and the stuffed mushrooms are full to the brim with crab! The food is tasty, all their seafood is fresh, service is excellent, and ambiance is relaxed and unassuming. This spot truly is a hidden gem, do not miss it!!
Love the quality & fresh seafood options. Staffs are friendly. Highly recommended!

Our visit here was quite nice! Our server and the manager were very warm and welcoming. The food was good. Our steak was cooked at the right temperature. My favorite thing on the plate was the red potatoes. They were seasoned with Lemon, garlic and just the perfect amount of spice. I would visit again.
We mainly chose this place because of the high rated reviews and because we were able to do a reservation for 10 (unlike other sea food places that we tried) the waitress originally seated us in the back but there are no TVs in the back so we asked if we could be moved to the front instead because the football game was on, the waitress stated since it’s a big reservation she can not fit us in-front, but a few ppl didn’t show up so before we even ordered she was able to accommodate us and we were able to sit in-front and watch the football game. The place looks a little small but the atmosphere and staff are awesome, the waitress the entire time was very nice and attentive. And finally the best for last is the amazing food!!!!! I ordered for myself 1lb snow crab legs with the Cajun garlic butter sauce and that came with corn sausage and potatoes and on the side I also got the lobster roll with fries along with 2 margaritas. I can speak for myself along with our table that we ate so good! The flavor was all delicious and not too garlicky like other places we been to, 5/5 stars we will all definitely be going back!
We stopped in for oysters and had a nice quiet lunch on the patio. Service was great. They include an 18% gratuity in the bill which was nice because tip fatigue is real and they made it easy, no math, no thoughts. Waitress was very attentive without being over attentive. I haven't been there in years and the pleasant experience made me want to come back.
A pretty solid choice for seafood in Chicago, King Crab had the optimal seating combo of a loud and boisterous front bar area, and a quieter more conversation conducive back room filled with comfortable large booths and tables. Despite a little kerfuffle over a dinner special and its serving portions (beware the four person dinner special!), we overall really enjoyed the food and ambience here. The waitress was super nice and attentive, and the staff went above and beyond to remedy and reimburse any wrongs.
Have been coming here off and on for over 25 years. I believe ownership has changed a couple times over the years though. A few years b4 Covid, you could barely get into the place and it actually had valet parking! The food is still actually good, but no longer 5 stars, although oysters are always fresh, but smallish.
My son had the somewhat pricey grilled sea bass for $40, my wife the salmon and 3 prawn $40, myself the fried perch for “only” $20. I got 4 small fillets and 1 side. They were all overpriced IMO, for the amount of food, but tasty enough.
Get there during happy hour and enjoy appetizer specials, including shrimp and oysters…at the bar only!
The specialty drinks were HIGHLY overpriced. Stay away..very little alcohol & very sugary. I usually say something, but just didn’t have the energy. I will return, but next time will stick with wine or beer. It was getting near closing and there were only 4 people (at the bar also) outside of us 3. She was polite enough, but clearly tired and sleepy.
Stick with the items they are known for, like oysters, crabs and shrimp. Some of their prices approach the far more refined Shaw’s Crab House in downtown Chicago.
Good Food and great service. Erin the bartender makes the best Long Island ever.
The crab cakes are amazing. I like the crust on them.
The guy behind the bar with a ponytail he is a great assistant.
This place is a must to go visit, and the crab legs are amazing and they play the music. One last thing they have a nice chill music selection.
Second time here. So far the best oysters I have had. Bar specials have unbeatable prices for drinks and food. The vibe is cozy, staff is fast and friendly. They have Louisiana style seafood entrées. Really delicious!
Ahhhhhhh best oyster in town! Fresh and incredible great price. If you are a seafood lover and looking for a roomy place to get together with your friend, this is the one you are looking for.
Staffs are very nice. It is such an enjoyment to see the gentlemen open the oysters.
The service was amazing. Took my wife here for her birthday and we were lucky to have a full booth to ourselves. Reservations were made but not needed. The food was AMAZING! My steak is always requested the same way and this is the first place that hit it right on the nail. My wife LOVED her crab legs and other dishes. Best calamari I’ve ever tried.
It was good, have to work for your food. Great prices. Good service. Small seafood house. For the price and what it is, I say it is a 5 star. The little pita breads are delicious. Enjoyed the key lime pie, but it was mostly whip cream. Crab is basic and straightforward. Recommend getting the large legs, the medium were difficult. I am not a fan of working for my food, but knew what I was getting into. Worth a visit.
I’ve been coming here for 4 years now. And this place has been open for 30years. It’s an icon and any seafood lovers dream. Had the best meal last night. CY, the owner is so great. All the fish was fresh and trust me I tried it all. Their new Fall Specials are spectacular. Get that salmon and prawns platter. And spicy shrimp from bar specials. Great wine program too!
