Food is always consistent and most importantly...delicious! Authentic Peruvian food made to perfection. The staff is super friendly also. I've tried almost everything in their menu and they're all good. Arroz con pollo, lomo Saltado, bistec encebollado and more. If you're not sure what to order, then go on Sundays when they serve the criollo buffet.
Great ambiance ,fantastic food ,tamales are to die for !!,servers are helpful and attentive,,will definitely visit again,,my new favorite place ♡

Well we certainly found a hidden gem in the city. Ambience was wonderful. Service is very friendly and they make you feel comfortable & happy to be there. As we discover more Peruvian food we like, restaurants like Rios makes that journey fun. Our food had exceptional flavor and was served hot. We look forward to returning here but next time we’re bringing friends too.
Food amazing, service excellent, staff wonderful! Total menu unbelievable.
Amazing dining experience!!! Feels like you walked into an authentic south american restaurant. Seafood selections and appetizer are awesome. A hidden gem in the Buckdown area. I look forward to my next visit.

It was an amazing experience the food was amazing and delicious.
Arroz con camarones mis favoritos tallarin verde y sopa de pollo
Heaven...absolutely heaven.......As a hot dog connoisseur...this one is one of the best. I also had the Italian Beef Sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten.....
Amazing. Ordered the tamal verde and the lomo saltado w steak. Their green hot sauce is amazing and complemented the dish quite well. Also ordered a side of the fried plantains and was in heaven. Pisco sour was one of the best drinks I've had too. A must visit for Peruvian food. I will come back.
The restaurant appearance was really nice. Music was good. Service by Tony was excellent and the food was amazing authentic Peruvian cuisine! Love it!
Best Peruvian Cuisine. The ambiane is wonderful, great music & the decor is absolutely outstanding. Am salivating now just thinking about how flavorful the Ceviche was. I am always eager to taste other types of foods., I couldn't have made a better choice that night. Strongly recommend this place.
Great. This a wonderful Peruvian restaurant, by far the best in Chicago, having worked in Lima, Peru at a 5 star hotel for 4 years, Rio's brought back memories. Beautiful restaurant friendly Peruvian staff and very helpful on decision making time, Authentic food and a lot of yummie choices....I thank the Peruvian consulates office for reccomending this place, I tried others in the city they were ok but Rio's blows them out the water. great south american wine selection, Piscos..oh and try the Cuzquena beer awesome, the Ceviches are the best they have like 4 choices we had them all :-) Im glad we went, all my guest love it....
Delicious Ceviche. We had the Rio's style fish ceviche as an appetizer and then I had the rice with seafood and my husband had the skirt steak. Everything was very tasty and fresh and the portions were indeed huge. Watch out for that harmless looking green sauce they bring out at the beginning that stuff is spicy!!!!
Mug sabroso! Wow great food fun atmosphere surprisingly we saw kids little ones there and the wait staff was very attentive to them and the place is a disco Latin after hours! Very cool
Delicious locally owned restaurant, that not only gives you fresh to order food but also personable service! I dined with my family and every dish that we ordered blew us away not only in the quality and how perfectly cooked the meats were, but a flavor that I personally found to be indescribably good! The staff is very attentive and obliging, and the owner is cheerfully and personable. It was very much an experience that was worth it not only in the food but also how we were received. I would highly recommend the restaurant as I will be bringing more family and friends back! Thank you to the owner and staff at El Rinconcito Sudamerica!
-Sorry, I only have a picture of the desert as we were too busy eating!
Very local place. Peruvian ex pats go there.
Food was reasonable and authentic.
Ceviche was the best thing we ate.
The rest was tasty but a bit bland.
They did have a mustard sauce that was spicy and outstanding.
Started our Girl's Day celebrating Peru's Independence eating Peruvian cuisine. Everything was delicious! Raul and Alejandro were so great. Thank you for an amazing day! 🤗❤🤤🇵🇪🍗🥩🍲
Food is delicious. The only downside is that they are short staffed. The owner who is present does not help the staff at all. As an owner he should set the example and help out to keep his own business working.
I love this place. Their lomo saltado de bistec, their ceviche & the papa a la huancaina always hit the spot for me. Been going here for years I highly recommend! 🤌🏾🔥
Amazing food. The empanadas, the steak, the lamb.... All incredible. We've been in the neighborhood for a few years and I'm disappointed this is the first time we've tried this place. We will be back though for sure!
Food was wonderful, server was very nice but seemed short staff so not as attentive. But I love this place, so I'll be back next week!
So fun new year party , not so crowded and inexpensive!
Omg! They are open again! Same owner and same chef! Dinner for two was amazing! Lots of food! Best bang for your bucks.
Amazing Peruvian cuisine with great service. Highly recommended.
Loyal customer for almost 30 years. It's my favorite place for peruvian food. Sad to see business declining as new trendier places pop up but always glad to eat there and support a small family business. And we are always happy with our food.
This is by far the best Peruvian restaurant in Illinois. Their food is amazing and the presentation too. They also have many Peruvian drinks that other restaurants don’t have. Do yourself a favor and order Queirolo’s plum Brandy. If you go for lunch or dinner lomo saltado. Believe me, you will not regret it.
What a great Peruvian restaurant. Just had dinner here and everything we tried was tasty and flavorful. Please visit this restaurant located in a wonderful neighborhood. We will be back to try the soup when it gets a little colder outside. Thank you for great food and great customer service.
First things first - you HAVE to try the house Borgoña wine. It’s sweet, smooth and sugar-free! I had such a lovely experience here. The food came quickly. I highly recommend the Arroz con Mariscos, the Ceviche con crema de Ajies was to die for and the Tallarines Verdes was authentic as can be. Can’t wait to visit again and try different dishes!
