Edgewater Beach Cafe - Chicago - Photo album

Wonderful ambiance, food and amiable owner. My husband and I had the duck wirh cranberries. Really tasty. Nice wine.
Our favorite place to dine with friends. Incredible food, outstanding service. A rare delight set in a historic Chicago landmark. Please don't miss the escargot and filet mignon. Great wine list! We will be back.
This is a refined dining experience. The atmosphere is calm and reserved. Table linens, full silverware settings and Riedel wine glasses are the standard here. Their menu leans towards French cuisine. Butter, cream and love were found in every dish we tried. The service was wonderful. I recommend th
The food is phenomenal and the prices are insanely affordable. My favorite is the escargot and French onion gratin soup. The chef is Le Cordon Bleu trained and it shows. Very very delicious. The food is also served at neighboring Le Pharmacie so you can enjoy the best of both if wanted.
Best meal we’ve had during our Chicago stay. Great food, cozy atmosphere and friendly service. I had the rack of lamb and my wife had the duck. Really liked the house cab. Very reasonable prices. Definitely will be back!
It just stupfies me why this restaurant is not the most crowded place in Edgewater. The Edgewater Beach Cafe is the absolute best in the neighborhood! Tried every other restaurant and there's no comparison! From the escargot to the shrimp with burgundy sauce to the raspberry chicken, it's all delic
The food was cooked to order and perfectly, the wine list short but well thought, onion soup perfect. Our host made us exceptionally welcome and the French roast coffee served with the lightest yet rich chocolate cake topped off a delightfully good meal while enjoying the jazz, the service, and the
This is our family favorite "go to" place for birthdays & other occasions. Zung, the owner, & his wife in the kitchen, get my vote for favorite intimate dining spot with delicious, carefully prepared dinners & brunch on Sunday. Service is very attentive, jazz combo present on some nights & Sunday
I came here for my birthday for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. Phenomenal food, classy atmosphere, and very friendly service. Highly recommend and we plan to be back!
This place has yet to disappoint. The food is excellent and very authentic while the servers are very attentive. It has an old-world feel while featuring modern entrees and drinks. This is a place you would frequent if you want to chill out while having a drink and meal in a very quiet and homey pla
Quiet, intimate, out-of-fashion, but just a perfect place for a quiet dinner before the theater or afterward. The food was excellent I had the pike special), the service was superb, and the price was very reasonable.
This is a hidden gem! First it is nestled in the iconic pink Edgewater Beach Apartments. Think of the resort in "Some Like It Hot" - beautiful chandeliers and marble lobbies-20's elegance. The cafe has an incredible wine list with amazing choices reasonably priced. Classic French steak and seafood d
You have no idea that a cute, quaint, lovely decorate place will give you the most awesome dining experience. From the appetizers to main courses to desserts is a culinary experience of decadence. Let me put it this way: You will never forget it and in my case you would want to kiss the chef's hands
Tasting the appetizer (Shrimp Cachonette) let me know right from the start this was going to be a culinary experience I would not soon forget. That level was maintained through my entire meal (Onion Soup Gratinee, Tournedos of Beef). This is NOT a mass production environment. Add the relaxed, cozy
Quiet, too quiet--due to its being primarily only populated by the residents of 'The Pink Building', ie, the last vestige of the Hollywood Beach Hotel complex, with the highly exclusive Copa-Cobana type, private beach, dinner club, famous Big Band jazz dance music bands now ghosts, since foolishly,
Awesome food, great prices and the place just oozes history! Had such a great time here that my wife is demanding we go back on our next date night--she's dying to try the Raspberry Chicken.
Sunday Brunch was lovely. Great atmosphere and staff. So relaxing. Live music as well.
Exquisite food in a gem tasting very savery dishes. You will be in shock and ask yourself: " where have you been all my life". Always excellent food, no matter what I ordered.
