D'candela - Chicago - Photo album

Food is amazing and reasonably priced. Portions are good and the amount of sauces to pair with the food were generous.
Stuffed avocado was refreshing . Plating could have been better . Chicken was lacking something flavors were good but bland perhaps if the served it on a bed of rice instead separated. Service was ok .
Peruvian food in Chicago doesn’t get better than this! Being Peruvian and always looking for great authentic food is tough to find on the south side, so I always have to head north for my fix! D’Candela is my go to anytime I’m in the area. The food is always extremely good no matter what I’ve tried.
Stellar food and service ordering from D’Candela via delivery for a special treat or for family events. HIGHLY recommend for delicious roasted chicken and their tasty cilantro rice. The green salsas and plantains are also amazing!!!
Yesterday (4 September), I went with family since it was a relative's birthday. This time (unlike before), the service was truly exceptional. Her name was Juanita (waitress), she was very attentive. You could easily notice in the way she served and the overall service that she loves her job. As I
My family and I were looking for a place to have lunch but tired of the same o same o. My daughter suggested Peruvian food and so we ended up here after googling some places. Hands down, this place exceeded our expectations. It is DELICIOUS! Everything we had was so dam good 😊.
I have always wanted to stop by and try the food. May I tell you it did not disappoint. Delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Highly recommend for any type of occasion.
Really good food! The maduros (fried plantain) were so delicious! Not many restaurants actually let them ripe properly to serve... The rotisserie chicken was excellent. Friendly staff. Social distance is being practiced. Took a little too long towards the end to check up on us and give the check...
Well cooked and seasoned chicken! I loved the food. The service was great and I didn't wait long. I ordered a whole chicken and 2 sides. It was enough to feed 2 people, and take home left overs.
I order a deliver from the restaurant and was good.. The empanada was delicious great flavors! The one with chicken.. The chicken and rice was great! Too the only down point was the YUCA was over cooked and was hard..
Impeccable customer service but please please remove cumin part of your ingredients to marinate your dishes not peruvian high end at all. The Jalea is the best one in town!.
Great overall experience. Food was delicious. I ordered the filet mignon with mozzarella and it was so tasty! Reasonable price as well. Highly recommend this place.
Came here with my family and we all enjoyed what we ordered. I had their chicken fried rice and enjoyed it. Waitress was very polite and patient with us.
Once again I paid a visit here and was not disappointed! My girlfriend was born in Peru and she said this is her favorite place
Ordered food from this place for the first time. It was delicious, would definitely come back and try the other items on their menu.
This is a BYOB. No alcoholic beverages are available. You will be charged $3.00 dollars for a bottle or any six packs you bring in the restaurant. I recommend the Rice Con Camarones no listed but is so great and can be shared by two people per plate. Is a lot of rice. Mmmmmmmmmmmm delicious.
I’m Peruvian and I loved the dishes! It made me feel I was in Peru ☺️
