Long running classic Chicago bar & grill that remains for a reason. Interior alone worth a look. The food options are just the right number & variety. All four dishes we had were spot on prepared and portioned. The drinks are real. The fuzz is zero. Always happy at Truman's.

Sarah was awesome and had the best recommendations. I regret not getting the Roasted Amish Chicken, but the Amish Chicken tenders were great.
Definitely try the spicy margarita! The jalapeno was smooth and flavorful, but the habanero was a hit!

Been in the neighborhood since 2022 and this Tavern is the best! Amazing food, mussels are soooo good! Love the staff and the atmosphere.

Jacqueline was amazzzzzing holy smokes she knew exactly what we wanted she was such a good girl she had excellent manners and she even was down to hang out for a second. I feel like this waitress went over the top for us. I will gladly come back here, and I will bring all my friends.

10’s across the board! been coming for years. vibes are always great. the sidewalk seating is great, off chicago ave so not a lot of traffic. bartenders and servers always great and friendly. the mussels…WOW. that plate alone will get this place a 5-star review. seriously get the mussels. the rest of the menu isn’t that extensive but who cares because the mussels are the best.

Good beer. Beautiful tin ceiling n walls with deep wood bar. Good selection of Irish whiskeys. Had some good appetizers.
