El Cid - Chicago - Photo album

I found this place just by walking and using google for good places in the area as I was leaving the Sunday market in Logan square. It was deathly hot out. So food and something cold to drink to the rescue. Nancy was nice and very patient and helped me to pick some great options to eat. Hands down
Wish the tacos were hard shell. Great location on Kedzie across from Logan Square Blue Line. Great service. There’s a beautiful outdoor patio but it was not accessible due to the rain.
I’ve been coming here for years, it’s the best! Great margaritas and vegetarian options. The back patio is great and upstairs has room for large parties. Meow.
First time going; dropped in to get something quick. Uncomplicated menu, everything tasted fresh, plate presentation and portions, very nice :) I got the flautas, and a few Modelo to go along with it. Next time I will try the dessert! It was during the mid-afternoon, so not crowded and before din
Been coming here since I was a kid and the taste of the food just is unbeatable! Literally the only place I love coming to for some goooood tacos 🙌🏽 Besides the tacos I love coming here for margaritas, horchata, and my new fave ✨enchiladas ✨also highly recommend the coconut flan 🍮
This restaurant is like a hidden gem in the city. Their food was delicious and quantity was good. It is fun to go in-person with group of friends and family.
El Cid's was undoubtedly one of the best food places I've ever been. Everything about it was stunning - the taste, especially was unbelievable and the cost was reasonable. I'd recommend El Cid's if anyone's in the area!!!!
Great food, nice laid back atmosphere. Huge patio in the back with cute decor. Lively music but not too loud. The staff are very friendly and attentive without hovering. They're always great about accommodating dietary restrictions. I've never had trouble finding a hearty vegan meal here :)
All of the food was excellent, we got the chicken flautas and enchiladas suizas. Even the salsas were good, served with fresh fried tortilla chips. Besides great food, the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was really nice. There's also a hidden outdoor patio in the back.
Very tasty food, nice place, good drinks and excellent bar service. recommended! you can ask for Frank.
Yum! Get the chimichangitos. They also have a mean coronarita if you're into that (the girl next to me had it). I had the mango and it had me feeling sideways ya dig
Last night I made a stop at @elcidchicago in Logan Square for great Mexican food and margaritas on one of the nicest patios in the city. The patio is definitely the star of the show. Cute kitschy signs everywhere, colorful flags playfully hung overheard, and the array of colors in decor you might
Really love the food and atmosphere here. Everything I've had has been great. Owner came over to say hello the last time and you could tell he had a lot of pride in the place and that he had lived in the area for a long time. Reccomended things to try the next time I come in.
Sat on the patio and got drinks. There was an awful stench of garbage, but the patio is cute. The margaritas weren't very good, chips and salsa were fine. I didn't get anything else, so don't take this review too seriously!
I was there for a birthday party and tried a new brand of Tequila, AVE. It made for a smooth tasting Margarita.
I wish I could give this place more! This isn't just the Mexican food I've had, but truly the best food I've ever had. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in Chicago - my partner and I are coming back tomorrow! A religious experience wrapped in the most phenomenal corn tortilla.
