Not a big beer guy but I have been meaning to try Open Outcey since it opened. One word......fantastic!! I had a blonde ale that tasted great. We ordered the pretzels to start. The Gouda cheese saice was smokey and flavorful. Pesto added to the flavor of the not too salty pretzel. Last dipping sauce was locally sourced honey. Wow! Now on to the burger. Cheese curds homemade bbq sauce on top of a great burger between a brioche bun. The flavors mixed so well. My wife has celiac and the serve a great gluten free pizza. We will be back.

Open Outcry is the best thing to come to the south side in a decade. First off, the customer service and atmosphere is so good, it feel like home. The beer is top notch and the food is unbelievably delicious. The loaded fries and the Chi-town pizza our my current favorites. As far as beer, they have such a great variety and they are always switching it up. And the New England IPA will knock your Aunt Conney's socks off! You can all take a giant can on the go. Like a growler, but even cooler! It is a such a gem on Western. It is bringing a new life to the neighborhood. And I hear that they may have a roof top garden coming?!?! Unreal! In less than a year, it has already become a staple. Thank you Open Outcry for reviving the neighborhood. Looking forward to many years of fun and many beers of happiness. THANK YOU and CHEERS!!!!

It was a great experience. The food was delicious and the waitress checked on us regularly. The pizza was yummy. We had 3 different varieties and I had the and old fashioned. The atmosphere was open so perfect for a warm weather day. I believe they also have rooftop seating. Hope you try it and enjoy it too. Let me know. Chow

This place has been up and down over the years, but with a new brewer and updated menu, it's back up! Stopped in and had an IPA and a stout, both were incredible. Pizza was tasty, even the pain cheese kids one was great. Burger was juicy and delicious without being over complicated w toppings.

Enjoyable atmosphere, love that you can see the inner workings of the on-site brewery facilities behind the bar area... adds an industrial but intimate feel to the space. Taking a couple flights of steps to the outdoor patio is another delight and value add to the place. The aesthetic gives rooftop garden and helps to diminish some of the cityscape. The food is good, service is pleasant and knowledgeable even though I did not get the opportunity to try any of the local brew on the menu on this visit (something to look forward to come back and experience!).

We were at the Beverly farmer’s market and decided to google nearby restaurants. Open Outcry came up and boy are we glad. The atmosphere, food, craft beer, and rooftop beer garden are absolutely amazing. The cheese curds have a garlicky breading which elevates it from the norm and were my favorite curds to date. We chose the wood fired pizza and the hoyne sandwich as our entrees and both were delicious and filling. The service was spot on and the owner John was walking around to make sure everyone was good, that is when he wasn’t sweeping and cleaning and bussing the dishes. That’s the sign of an invested owner in my opinion. We are definitely planning on becoming frequent patrons!

The food was great. I definitely recommend The Hatch appetizer. It was so delicious, I’m sure I’m going back just for that. The pizza was so fresh and tasty. The crust just right and I could eat it alone honestly. Jenny offered us amazing service and was very attentive and had great recommendations of the menu. The scenery and atmosphere is very nice for summer, especially the rooftop. It’s a lowkey gem that I highly recommend.

Glad I finally got a chance to stop in-what a great spot! I got there early, but the staff was as warm and inviting as the decor. Whole place has a great vibe. Only had time for one beer, but the Delirio hazy IPA was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Bright citrusy and just drinkable. The owner John and I got to chat for about 10 minutes. He is a great guy and seems very committed to the neighborhood and knowledgeable about beer. I perused the menu and they have a great cocktail program to complement the beers. I’m coming back soon to try the pizza and the rest of that beer list.

Awesome experience, was a perfect start of a Chicago visit to attend a concert. This place is a microbrewery, with a full bar, dining room and kitchen featuring a wood-fired pizza oven. You can see their brewing operation in the dining area as well as through a window behind the bar. The dining room is full of character, long tables with yellow metal chairs and some tables set up with swings for chairs (check out the photos). There is a dining area upstairs on the roof as well; but we didn't go there. Wife and I ordered salad and a wood-fired 12-inch pizza for two. Tried their own brews, I got the Hefeweisen called 'Bona Fide', wife got their double hazy IPA called 'Citrium'. The salads came and it was huge, came in a shoebox sized box. The croutons were homemade and well seasoned for the classic house salad. We weren't done with the salad by the time the pizza arrived. The pizza ordered was 'The Spaulding' having a tomato sauce base, pepperoni and jalapeños covered with their 50/50 cheese (provolone and mozzarella); fired in the wood oven then drizzled with a honey sauce. Oh SO good, perfectly matched my Hefe! This was the best pre-load for a rock concert, ever!

Our first time to this brewery and we were not disappointed. Bridget was a great waitress with wonderful suggestion on the beer. The food was outstanding and very fresh. You can tell the place is well managed and the staff takes pride in their work. Thank you, Joel/Roy

Modern brewery, open air via garage door windows street side. Service was great, good IPA, did not have any of the food. Roof top not yet open but has several mini cabins for a party of 6 or so, assume they will also have open air standing/seating. Rooftop accessible via stairs only (didn’t ‘see’ an elevator). Rest area accessible.
