Baker Miller is doing business and baking the right way. They are laborious in how they source their ingredients, using the absolute best they can find. They pay living wages to their employees, which is, you know, good. And they seem to always be providing food to organizations around Chicago that are doing good. You should feel good about your dollars going to Baker Miller. Even if all of that wasn't true...they'd still have the best breakfast sandwich in Chicago, The Ben. That thick slab of bacon on their biscuit with the hollandaise and egg. It's insane. That's pretty much all I get every time I go there...so I can't really comment on much else.

Really wonderful food and coffee with a great deal of attention to it being excellent. The food is simple and the atmosphere is unpretentious and low key. The owner cares about your experience and is constantly coming up with something new and delicious to try. It's a friendly neighborhood stop with a nod to eateries of the past.

Stumbled upon Baker Miller 10min from closing time and the staff couldn't have been nicer! Walked away with some sweet treats but wish I had tried the jam bar.

The new biscuits and gravy are particularly incredible. Other favorites include the sunflower rye bread, the chocolate chip cookies, the chocolate peanut butter pie, and the chicken pot pie. And the owners and employees are the nicest people!

Anyone who knows me, knows that it can be a challenge to find places for me to eat with all my food allergies - so when my girlfriend invited me to join her and her dad for breakfast at Baker Miller, we weren't entirely sure that I'd be able to eat there. Even though one of their signature dishes is oatmeal, it is usually made with milk & cream - so my girlfriend reached out to them and these amazingly awesome folks went to the trouble of making a special batch just for me with soy milk instead! Then we got the extra special treat of having them roll a batch of oats for her dad to take home with him & whole history lesson on the growing, processing and preparing of oats. Best way to start a day!

Coffee was good. I have the elote grits which were sooooo delicious. My friends enjoyed their meals. I love the ambiance and the staff was really nice. The three meals with three coffees came out to 52 dollars. Not sure if I feel like it’s pricy because it was really delicious and I think it was organic so it was a good choice. My friend said the salad dressing was great. And the biscuits and gravy were Super scrumptious.

Baker Miller is one of our favorite places in Lincoln Square. Whenever we are in town we make sure to come by for breakfast. The lox sandwich is a perfect combination of light and filling. It's one of those meals that makes you feel like you're starting the day off right! The coffee isn't our favorite (it's a little too acidic tasting as we prefer bold/dark coffee) but it's still yummy and pairs well with breakfast! We also love the outdoor dining area and the art hanging in the restaurant!

The doughboys are very good, they go for $3 a piece. When was there they had an Oreo and a caramel apple. The Oreo was a bit deceiving I didn't taste any resemblance but was still very good. Seating is hard to find, it's a pretty small place so try to go during week. The toast bar looked unimpressive, would stick to a pastry or other menu item.

Their bagel sandwiches are DELISH! They don't skim on the schmear either. This cute bakery / coffee shop has a great selection of sandwiches and some wonderful pastries. Their ruby chocolate chip cookies are also legit.

Love this neighborhood gem! Their avocado toast is my favorite. And I cant resist the baked goods either! One of my go-to spots in Lincoln Square. I’m also appreciate of the efforts they’ve taken to keep their customers and employees safe during the pandemic.

Dined in on a Friday morning. I had the Elote Hash. The menu says this comes with a "soft egg" but I asked the nice man at the counter if they could give me an over easy egg instead as I'm totally opposed to runny egg whites. He said it was cool and had the cook (owner?) come over and show him how to adjust my egg preference on the tablet. When the dish came, that egg yolk was hard. Like chalky hard. He fried that thing all the way through. My boyfriend ordered the Egg & Bacon biscuit with a side of potatoes. The potatoes on both of our dishes were definitely under cooked. Despite those things, we enjoyed our food. The pastries looked delicious and they have horchata pie! I mean, c'mon now. We'll definitely be back for it. Gotta say though - you guys need to clean your bathrooms up a bit. There were some gross looking questionable spots in there.

I have been wanting to come to Baker Miller for a year now. I looked over the menu online and ordered the toast plate, which came with three types of bread. There was a butter and jar bar that came with the toast plate. The staff was helpful and kind.

The lox sandwich was delicious and one of the best ones in the neighborhood. A bit pricey, but portions are generous and taste is 10/10!

Cute local shop. Indoor/outdoor seating. Good breakfast options and 2 breads made daily, some pastries. Avocado toast was pretty, yummy, and filling for a few hours!

My husband and I were visiting Chicago and a friend of mine that lives there took us to this place for lunch. They graciously served us about 15 minutes before the kitchen closed, which we were thankful for. The interior is beautiful! And the fact that they ask for your vaccination card is extremely attractive to me. The food was delicious, as well as the coffee. I had a biscuit sandwich with veggies and a side salad. The only odd thing was that the lettuce was very, very cold. I also bought a chive cheddar scone to take with me. It was incredible! I would love to visit Baker Miller again the next time I'm in Chicago.

Love this spot! I went to their original location on Western many years ago; so happy to see they're still thriving! Their current location went through a beautiful renovation and the inside is so cute! It's great when a company reinvests in themselves to make the customer experience more enjoyable. Sucks that the masks indoors are coming back but I respect their decisions on how to keep their staff and customers safe by having outdoor seating and a to go window. Food is phenomenal, my favorites are the elote hash and dough boys! I will continue to be a repeat customer :)

We are lucky to live just a few blocks away. They are a fantastic community business, always bending over backwards to provide great service. Plus their food is AMAZING. The elote grits, the BLT, the chocolate chip cookies, the avocado toast...it's hard to pick favorites. Even the "simple side salad" is beautifully done. And they're always coming up with fun new specials to keep it interesting. Thanks for being great!

Get yourself a chocolate chip cookie, and thank me later. Wait, also get the sausage and egg breakfast sandwich on one of their incredible biscuits. While you’re at it, maybe pick up some IL-milled bread flour since the grocery store is out. And if you’re still hungry, the breakfast bowl with grits will stick to your ribs. Seriously, this place is great. The food is top notch, they prioritize local businesses and farms and their prices are still on the cheaper side of Chicago brunch. The owners are active in the local grain and restaurant communities. This is a wonderful restaurant to support while enjoying a tasty meal!

We love Baker Miller! It has a great neighborhood feel. We love their hand pies and cinnamon doughboys. We recently tried their take and bake chocolate chip cookies and my husband went back to get more the next day. They are amazing (and massive!) cookies! Their dedication to the safety of their staff and customers is inspiring.

I recently ordered a key lime pie and everyone in my family agreed that it was the best key lime pie we had ever had! You can truly taste the care and high quality ingredients Baker Miller uses. They’re one of my favorite bakeries in the city and throughout quarantine I have not found another restaurant taking such high safety precautions, which I really appreciate. Upon arrival, I called from my car and someone brought my order out to me in less than 2 mins and all I had to do was roll my window down!
