Fantastic food in a beautiful space. The build out here to a beautiful restaurant from an old garage is just amazing. Before you even get to look at the menu the beautiful copper bar and 20' long handmade felt artwork vie for your attention. This place is full of beautiful details before you even get to the food. Once you do stop taking in the fantastic environment the food doesn't disappoint either. We tried most of the apps and everyone got an entree to share. The standouts were: The perfectly fried okra with an awesome homemade ranch, The spoon bread, the clam(note singular not plural) casino, and the surf and turf. Seriously get the surf and turf it was perfect in just about every way, a little more eel would have been nice but overall the dish was still exceptional.

This is a definite must eat at place in Logan Square area. The decor is beautifully done. Hospitality is top notch. Reading the menu before going here, I wanted to order everything. Came here with some family members so we went family style to try half the menu. First time having apple brandy and Rebekah educated us on the 3 types we tasted that night. I will definitely be back to try the other half of the menu.

My husband walked in on a Sunday evening after 6pm to find plenty of seating and the windows open welcome in the comfortable spring air. The ambiance is spacious with fun touches like copper artwork behind the bar, design-lit bathroom mirrors, and a fabric mural further in the restaurant. We were taken care of by a friendly, well-versed, and dapperly-dressed bartender, and ordered the marrow sloppy joe and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers, followed by the Twain burger and side of gnocchi. All of the food was presented nicely and preparedly solidly. I've never had gnocchi so fluffy and delightfully paired with familiar ingredients like sour cream and bacon, or rich marrow with mustard and sloppy joe. As a Chinese-American Chicagoan who's lived in the area for over 25 years, it made me view Midwest fare with fresh eyes and pride. Service was excellent from said bartender along with the rest of the staff helping to host and bring out dishes. Our drinks were refilled promptly and the pacing of dishes was appropriate. All in all, as an unexpected treat, Twain is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and a place I hope to introduce friends to!

Fabulous new addition to the Chicago foodie scene. Experience Midwestern Cusine with flavours which smack of a fine dining pedigree. Tastes that are both familiar but yet inspiring. A deliciously fresh take on midwestern cuisine complimented by a knowledgeable wine and beverage list. Decor is intriguing, creative and at the same time homey and welcoming everyone. A personal connection between architect and restaurateur is evident almost familial. From the backdrop of the bar to the colourful mural inspired by ‘Dawn to Dusk.’ Even the bathroom latches are cool dating back to a bygone era where they graced barn doors throughout the country. Details to delight even the most ardent observer. Loved our first experience. Thanks so much Tim and Rebekah

Great food and warm service round out this soon-to-be neighborhood gem along the burgeoning strip of Milwaukee Ave. Expect surprising takes on midwestern fare like delicious spoon bread with braised pork and pickled veggies and chicken & dumplings served in a kitschy casserole dish. The inside aesthetic is very inviting and quirky. I especially love the felt animal art on the walls. I’ll definitely return, possibly even with some out of town guests to show off what the Midwest food scene has to offer.

Had a great dry-aged pork chop... A rare and delicious treat. Cocktails were solid. Bread and pate were really nice. TBH the fried green peppers were a bit odd. Overall well worth a visit.

The food was good, the venue is open and spacious, and the atmosphere was nice. My biggest complaint was that the service wasn’t the best. We felt our server was rude to us, when we asked about specific drink options and ideas. Otherwise, I thought it was a good spot for people looking to enjoy a nice evening in Logan.

Sat at the bar and was treated like a VIP. Asked for a recommendation and did not disappoint! Pretzel biscuit and Short rib melted in my mount. Perfect place for a special occasion, or a treat for out-of-towners who want to experience the best of what Chicago food culture has to offer. I’d describe it as a cross between fine-dining tastes (+ great attention to detail) with a menu that the everyman can actually understand.

In a neighborhood full of places that claim to be "unique", Twain has certainly found it's niche. To call their menu "classed up comfort food" doesn't do it justice. Every aspect of our visit was excellent. It is evident that the owners and staff take great care, down to every detail. Certainly a stand out addition to the city!

The passion is evident in the food, service and atmosphere. I was in town on business and some fellow event attendees were headed to Twain. Where to go to dinner in Chicago while in town for a short time? Go outside the norm. From the beverages, appetizers, main entrees to to the Dessert all were thought out, distinct and prepared perfectly. Ant's on a log, the smoked sour cream , fava beans in an edamame style with an american twist were highlights. Tender octopus and the Strawberry salsa still make my mouth water, Bone marrow and sloppy Joe, so American yet eclectic new Haute Cuisine.
