Went to the rabbit for brunch with 2 little kids. The place is not "kid friendly" because they don't have special kids menu. Now that doesn't really matter because the food is amazing and my kids both inhaled the French toast and the benedict. The service was great and we got seated right away in a corner booth. The fat rabbit burger was absolutely delish. Large wine selection and special drink menu. The beer menu was smaller but the quality was there. Didn't see any drafts at the bar.

Pretty nice place with good vegetarian options. Did not enjoy the football on TV, seemed out of place with the character of the restaurant (would give 5 out of 5 otherwise). The wait staff was great. One nice thing is the prices are discounted if you get a vegetarian version of a large plate which normally has meat; we got the brussel sprouts and replaced the brisket with truffles and the price was only a few dollars more!

Excellent place for a very nice meal. All the dishes had great flavor and the chicken schnitzel was done perfectly. Try the gnocchi, a beautiful smoky cheese makes it creamy and delish!
Carrot cake was good but shills have been served room temp. Try a Julius, taste just like a creamsicle

My husband and I had dinner here last week on a Saturday evening and it was fantastic. It was restaurant week so we could only get a 5pm reservation. We were the first to be seated and quickly the place filled up. Regardless, our service throughout was great. We opted to order from the regular menu. We ordered 5 menu items, 2 glasses of wine and 3 fresh squeezed OJs. We had to box up about 1/3 of the food just to get through all of it. The total was right around $100. Such a value!! The atmosphere was cool and cozy at the same time. They spun actual vinyl records and the lighting was perfect! We'll be back again soon! My phone died before I could get more pictures :/

I’m not sure why I have not gone to this place earlier. The people, food, and atmosphere were all on point!! Our waiter Hector knew exactly to get off the menu for brunch! I would go back to Clever Rabbit all day!! They are also super kid friendly and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our kids were enjoying their time.

When I say “wow” I mean it. I went in here not expecting much after first glance of the menu and the limited vegan options but I found out many of the dishes can be made vegan and we were even treated to a new porridge dish they are releasing in fall—incredibly tasty and filling. We ordered the carrot dumplings (a MUST TRY), Dosa, Summer Squash Tacos, and raspberry sorbet. The flavors in the carrot dumplings and summer squash tacos we’re stunning. My tastebuds were in heaven! The Dosa was good but paled in comparison to the other dishes we were presented with!

They knew it was my partner’s birthday because I had emailed the manager prior to see if I could set something up with them. The manager didn’t respond but when we got to the restaurant we were given two glasses of champagne, an additional entree, and dessert free of charge! Clever Rabbit gets 5 stars for their impeccable service!

Nice outside seating and indoor seating. We sat outside and the noise was minimal and atmosphere vibrant!

Entrees are moderately to high priced and incredibly good—definitely worth the money.

We came to Clever Rabbit to watch the game because surrounding “sports bars” were packed. With one tv by the bar, it worked out to have nice food & drinks (for me) while watching sports (for my man). The charcuterie board, beet martini, carrot margarita, and squash tacos were all very delicious. It’s dark in here, boozy, and classy. Loved it. Thanks,

This place has been on my list for a while. I went there with two vegetations. Food was good service was great and loved the ambiance. Felt this was a bit pricey compared to similar restaurants that I've been to. I wouldn't mind going back there but might not be like on top of my list. Their dumplings and gnocchi were very good. Tart was good and Dosa was average.

Beautiful place with tasty food. They accommodate gluten allergy with slight modifications to the menu. The Idaho trout with mushrooms and Swiss chard is a must try.

Delicious place! Came here with a party of four total and paid $140 after tax and tip. Really loved the chicken, which was crunchy and juicy on the inside and very flavorful. The pigs ear pasta was refreshing but a bit of a let down on the spice/flavor side. The mushroom terrine was fresh as well but a little underseasoned. Otherwise, the brussels were fresh and light, with crunchy pistachios, and the trout was by far my favorite dish, packed with flavor and stuffed in a light, flakey choux.
Service was attentive and friendly, waitress was very helpful in finding us a beer we'd enjoy.

I can't say enough about this place! The ambiance has such a cool vibe to it with homage to the likes of David Bowie and Elvis. Music was on point only playing the best vinyl records. The food was unique and delicious with a healthy mix of veg forward dishes, meat and seafood and had an Excellent Wine list to choose from.

Lots of interesting looking vegetable dishes - it's nice to see vegetables shine for what they are and not trying to dress them up as something that tastes "like meat". Don't get me wrong, I ordered the burger (was there with a Burger Club outing), and it was fantastic - perfectly melted cheese, just the right amount of pickles, camelized onion, sauteed mushrooms, and plenty of mustard. The roasted potatoes were a nice change from the usual french fries, too (and stayed hot longer than fries). I'll definitely come back again and order the vegetable dishes to share with the table. The service was spot on - just the right amount of attention. We accidentally spilled a pile of chopped raw brussels sprout salad on the table, which I jokingly covered with the bowl it was in, and our server came over shortly after without being asked and made sure she cleaned it up. This place has a fun atmosphere - would be good for a fun date or a group, and it's not too loud so you won't have to shout over the table. Nice that it has a retractable front window that can be lifted for nice days and easy access to its front patio seating.

The vegetarian dishes were innovative and flavorful. The eggplant dish and carrot dumplings were the highlights. My chicken set the new benchmark for most delicious chicken EVER. Service was attentive and restaurant has a very nice ambiance.

I can't rave about this place enough. From the atmosphere to the food to the cocktails and the service- I was impressed by every aspect of Clever Rabbit! As a vegetarian- it's so refreshing to not only have multiple options, but also extremely interesting options! The veggie sandwich at Clever Rabbit is by far my favorite veggie sandwich I've ever had! & the carrot marg is a MUST. It oficially opens on Tuesday, 5/23, and I will be there as soon as it does!

We were waiting to be seated for dinner and wanted a drink from the busy bar (on a Friday night). The bartenders were actually serving guests like cocktail servers. They came around to show us the menus and were very friendly and engaging, I was very impressed. As someone who works in the Hospitality industry, it’s refreshing to see places that still make their guests feel special and catered too. The host / hostess were great, the service was exceptional and the food was delicious and unexpected. Needless to say, in a sea of restaurants in chicago, we will definitely be coming back to Clever Rabbit. (Side Note: I never write reviews on restaurants on social media, good or bad, so this place is very special).
