Eppels Restaurant - Chicago - Photo album

Specialty coffee was super delicious. Food amazing! Service beyond good. Just a great breakfast diner and everything cooked and served perfectly. The restaurant inside is a little outdated and even if they want to keep to their original experience, the furniture and layout might need some refreshmen
Visit for a breakfast, Loved the classic vibe of the place. Food and service was amazing
Food was very good. The waitress who had worked there for 30 years was very attentive. I ordered the Broiled Pork Chop and Mashed Potato and both were very good. I would highly recommend. The restaurant is older and no frills but delivers a good food product. My friend ordered Breakfast with Waffles
Great atmosphere. Very nostalgic. I was informed by my friend that there is rich history in this place and it was one of the first places that accepted people of color to dine at in Chicago. The food was ok, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the people more.
Absolutely wonderful food, great portions, attentive service. Overall great experience.
Great breakfast/bunch food. Good portion sizes and everything tasted great. Unlimited refills on coffee. Service was awesome! We felt very welcome by everyone who worked here. Very attentive and friendly. Server offered us to-go coffee as well. Would 100% go back.
the food was wonderful and delicious. If ur looking for a sweet / tasty breakfast I would suggest you get the “cinnamon rolls french toast”
I've walked by Eppel's a lot and wanted to try them for breakfast. I am very happy I did. I got the banana foster pancakes with sausage links and they were so good. The pancakes were fluffy and warm. I thought they might be too sweet because of the banana foster sauce but they weren't. Honestly they
Excellent breakfast spot with free parking in back. I eat here a few times per month, and I have never had a bad meal.
Very nice typical diner. We did hang out and talk a bit and they were very kind and brought us some coffee while we talked. Omelet was great and hash browns were done perfectly
Our waitress Betsy was the absolute best. She was very kind and “aunt-like” she even offered assistance with my grandson’s mosquito bites. The food was great but she is the reason I’m returning. Hire more people like her anywhere and your establishment will be successful.
Such a fun and friendly place! I highly recommend stopping here. I was there for breakfast and I had the Crab Cakes Benedict, which had the best hollandaise sauce I'd ever tasted. Coffee was also very good.
I absolutely love this place. For Father’s Day I would not have chosen anywhere else. It has a very warm, community vibe where you feel like it’s your family of aunts and uncles running the joint. Food is always hot, fresh, delicious and QUICK. Their system and service is great. Eppels never fails!
The food is great. But it was an event that took place when the waitress that was helping us was tapped on her thigh with cane from an older man and it kind of grind my gears. But the restaurant is good I just didn’t like what took place as I was being served
Fantastic homely diner. Food was amazing, hot, and quick. Not too many other patrons at this time of morning. Waitress was very pleasant, and kept water and coffee topped up often. Got The Works Skillet, with your preference of two eggs on top of hash with bacon, sausage, mushrooms, and cheese, and
Very good spot to have a good, heavy breakfast. Please do try their pancakes. Rarely do I get to have pancakes that fluffy. The staff were really nice and warm. The service was prompt (even on a Sunday morning). Highly recommend this gem of a place.
It's a mom n pop diner type restaurant. Don't look for scratch ingredients. It fills your belly and the staff is great. I wish I lived in the area so I could visit more often. But, when I get the chance, I do.
