Awesome addition to the neighborhood. I had the fried chicken skins, pork belly and (don't skip dessert!) coconut rice pudding and it was all amazing! Can't wait to go back to try more, but after all that I was definitely Immm!
Was planning on going next door to Tank Noodles and saw this little place and thought I'd try it out. The staff is amazingly friendly and hospitable. Very clean environment an easy-to-understand menu as it's on a chalkboard on the wall or printed out as well.
You can choose 1/2/3 dishes from the hot line that they will allow you to taste before ordering. Or you can order from the menu itself.
I ordered the Papaya Salad -Tum Puu Somtum, sticky rice, Kuay Tiew Ruea - Boat Noodles (pork blood soup)& E-Saan Sausage. I ordered it 'hot' one level below 'very hot' and it packed good heat. Everything is very authentic, prepared to order and fresh.
This place is fantastic!!
Went here on my search for Chicago’s best pad Thai & I was not disappointed! We ordered Thai puff pastries as a starter, and they were warm, fresh & flaky. We also had boat noodles and pad Thai with tofu. The boat noodles had a rich, delicious brown broth and the pad Thai was AMAZING - fresh, balanced ingredients & crunchy fresh bean sprouts.
Excellent!! This is my favorite Thai food in the city. The pad thai is wonderful, chicken satays are always great. Make sure to try the pad see ew that is our all time favorite. Pad thai and pad see ew comes vegetarian and you choose you protein, the shrimp comes with lots of jumbo shrimp with tails on, the crispy pork belly has wonderful flavor and lots of texture, its sweet but aromatic with crispy and chewy skin over soft juicy mest bits, it’s an experience. They have so many great options on their menu with gorgeous soups, curries and other rice dishes. I like their milk teas a lot too, especially the green one, very aromatic and delicious. Their milk teas are pretty sweet and have deep flavors, they almost taste like dessert to me honestly so I like to get that as dessert. They also have Thai ice cream and few other desserts. The staff is very sweet and it’s super cozy inside the restaurant. This is one place I will always recommend and always always come back.
I ordered the KIEW NAHM, which is
Shrimp Wonton and Bean Sprouts in a Delicate Chicken Broth. OMG!!! 😋😋😋 this soup was AMAZING!! It was so flavorful and soothing! I wish I orderded 2!! I hated to see the bowl come to an end. The price was great too. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this place and look forward to trying their other food items. One of my new favorite places!!
Really scrumptious Chicken Pad Thai. Group of friends and I took a lunch break here. The restaurant is quaint, well-kept and very cozy. The prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. Other members of our table ordered Beef Pad Thai, and Pad See Ew amd it appeared everyone enjoyed their food. The food was served promptly and the service was excellent.
Food was delicious (aroi)! As close to authentic as I've had in Chicago. And it's BYOB. 👍🏽 We had the Pad Thai with chicken, Chicken Satay, and a side of fried pork belly. Also not picture, we tried the egg rolls, curry puffs, and two kinds of dumplings. 🥟 Definitely going back for more Thai iced coffee too! 😋👌🏽I will say the sweetened green iced tea (pictured) was... an acquired taste. I'll stick to the coffee. 😁
Was closeby going to the Green Mill for some jazz music and stopped in here for dinner first. I had Pad See Iw and it was scrumptious. Beautiful ambient patio seating area, but indoor has huuuge windows that open to the outside that made sitting “inside” ideal for someone who LOVES fresh air, like me. Thai iced tea was good, too, but not quite as creamy as I’m used to.
Highly recommend!
I came here on a weekend for dinner with a reservation and it wasn't very crowded, with a couple of other diners there. The vibes are very laid back-- the warm yellow lighting sets a chill mood. The space is decorated artistically, with a handwritten menu and illustrations lining the walls.
The food was great-- authentic, delicious, and flavorful. Our group ordered the following dishes family-style (** = especially recommend):
- Tom Yum Soup with Tofu: A bit small, but it had a good flavor profile-- sour and rich.
- ** Tom Puu (papaya salad with preserved crab): The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were on point, and the crab added a nice fishy kick to the dish. We ordered spice level 2 and it was actually decently spicy!
- Tom Puu Pla Rah (papaya salad with preserved crab and fish): This one tasted very similar to the Tom Puu!
- ** Pad Thai with Tofu: Basic, but they make it extraordinarily well! The dish had amazing taste, flavor, and textures: the noodles were perfectly sticky and absolutely delicious. It was so good, we ordered 2 plates.
- ** Gai Todd (Thai fried chicken): This dish had great flavor and was very crispy! The chicken on the inside was very tender and juicy.
- ** Kao Soy: We ordered 2 of these-- one with chicken and one with beef. The chicken one was better in my opinion and also more classic. Overall, it's delicious! The curry flavors here are rich and strong and the noodles are cooked well. I wish it came with more soup though.
- Pad Pak with Tofu: This was a solid vegetable dish to balance out the rest. It tasted fresh and crisp, and it was stir-fried well.
Additionally, the service is above and beyond. We came with a large group to celebrate my friend's birthday, and they were very accommodating in moving tables together and providing attentive service throughout. At the end of our meal, they dimmed the restaurant lights and brought out a big plate of 10 complimentary Thai fried donuts (one of their dessert items) with candles.
It's also good value for the portions and quality-- we ordered a ton of dishes family style and the total was under $20 per person.
Overall, recommend this place for the food, value, and ambience. Highly recommend it for the service!
Friendly service; food and prices were pretty good. I’ve had better Thai food though, and the Thai donuts we got were not warm :(
Food was so good. Pan yang curry with chicken was delicious and just the right amount of spicy. Sticky mango coconut rice....my favorite! 😋
Went to Argyle night market and saw Immm had a stall there. Unfortunately the lines at the night market were crazy long so decided to just check out their restaurant nearby, which obviously had their full menu. We sat outside and enjoyed a very nice dinner alfresco. Really liked that the portions are not too big so we got a variety of food. Each one tasted delicious and took me back to my Thailand trips. The restaurant was crowded, both inside and outside so the sped of service is impacted. However, the waitstaff are very friendly and courteous…just enjoy the food and atmosphere and everything will be perfect.
