The Butcher's Tap - Chicago - Photo album

Stopped here on the way to a Bruce Springsteen concert at Wrigley Field. I ordered the brunch burger. The burger patty was a mixture of beef and chorizo - very tasty. I have this a 4 star review because the waitress was slow to take our order, my tots came out luke warm, and half our groups order ca
I went during the day on a weekday. It had a totally relaxed vibe. Great local beer selection. The cheese curds were the star of lunch. We also had a delicious burger and onion rings. The turkey sandwich was just okay. A great place to chill out for a couple hours in the afternoon.
The food here is really kind of the star of the shelf for somebody that's not in Ohio buckeye fan anyway... The southern fried chicken sandwich ( not original) is definitely top five in the city hop for the spicy mayo on the side. The cheese curds are absolutely top two in the city. The chicken te
Great place for personal parties! You can have a private area upstairs with the large windows open so it doesn’t get too hot. There is a bar in the middle and two bathrooms so you can keep your entire party upstairs. Best time is to make your party Thursday between 7-9pm and then at 9:30 karaoke sta
The Butchers Tap is a vintage neighborhood bar that has an original tin ceiling, and dark wood throughout . The service was amiable and prompt. Menu is usual bar food with sandwiches, flatbreads, and salads. There is a list of appetizers. A huge selection of draft beers is offered. We left curiou
We had the chicken tenders, which were delicious and the diner burger, other than the chewy bacon, it was really good. Our waitress was great. The atmosphere was just a little too loud but that's the only draw back at all. Almost forgot to mention the tater tots, it was a decent sized serving and t
Happy they were opened for a weekday lunch during “off season”. Not trendy…. In a great way. Large out door seating. Get the fries - great seasoning!
Good spot to get a bite to eat or watch a game. Big selection of beer and daily specials that change, my favorite is the nachos!
The food was pretty good, and it came pretty quickly. Definitely a loud atmosphere, even at 6 PM, but lots of tvs to see the game and some seating on the patio if you want some quieter space.
Okay, SO pleasantly surprised. We wandered in here after being turned away from a few of the “trendy” Southport spots on a Monday night. The patio was open and we grabbed a couple beers. Our server was actually awesome, giving us recommendations and somehow having a sixth sense as to when we needed
I am an out of town tourist and I never felt more at home! I got the chicken tenders and fries, and Ben and Jade were taking care of us. They were the friendliest and best bartenders I have ever met. I will be telling everyone to visit Butchers and asking for Ben and Jade!!! 10/10!!
Had the fried pickles and the turkey pesto...both we're really good
Butchers is my go-to bar! I eat outside with my dog or inside at the bar. Whenever I eat inside Ben is always there to greet me and give the best customer service to me and everyone around me. He's always friendly and attentive and I will definitely be back :)
Good selection of drinks, a dozen tap beers. Very friendly service. TVs are ubiquitous.
I was in from out of town and came to visit this bar and Ben was amazing!!! we had such a fun time and ben was one of the best bartenders ever, he was so hospitable and funny, can't wait to be back to visit this place because Ben made the time there so fun!!
