Rise Sushi & Sake Lounge - Chicago - Photo album

Have been here several times for the Shanghai menu but honestly might not be coming back in a while. The food is rather authentic and so it really helps to come here when I miss my hometown flavors terribly. The menu carries lots of traditional and “real” dishes which is what we love and crave for.
I loved Shine Rise and it was cool to see that they have an authentic Shanghai cuisine menu. Really talented sushi chefs and we had some really good nigiri. Rolls are good too, their flaming maki was awesome. Service was on point, we went on a slow day but they were attentive. Try their Dungeness cr
Decent Shanghai cuisine. It’s American asian food in general but they do have authentic Chinese food. If you want to order Chinese dishes, need to call them in advance. This is the season for crabs so they have pricy crabs for a good taste.
This used to be my absolute favorite sushi restaurants. It was great quality for a decent value. Over the last couple of months they have cut the sushi roll size in half for the signature rolls ($18/roll) and the appetizer portions keep getting smaller while prices keep going up. I am sad because I
The place is very relax and the atmosphere is delicate. The service is wonderful very polite and respectful. the price is regular is not expensive. The food is good for me, I ate the same food in other country and this restaurant it’s not bad. But I recommend for me try the fried rice all the combina
This is my favorite local sushi place. We love the pink Sekura maki, rock and roll maki, chicken lettuce wraps and sesame tuna dip. It’s such unique and delicious sushi.
This restaurant is located in a nice area, in a cozy town that has a college feel (DePaul University is nearby). Our daughter, who we were visiting from out of town, recommended it, so we tried it. The restaurant is very clean both inside and out. It was a beautiful evening, so we requested outdo
Great southern Chinese food. They have a secret menu if you order a week beforehand. Definitely ask for that. Food taste great and prices are ok. Dishes are meant to be shared. Come with friends to try out different dishes.
Great service and tasty dishes! If you're adventurous ask for the Chinese menu; it has some good Shanghai style cuisine that is different than the regular menu.
One of the best sushi restaurants I've been to. Will be coming back!
Great Chinese food and great service! All dishes are authentic. The Shanghai smoky fish, fried rice cake, lotus root with sticky rice are so amazing!
Really authentic Shanghai food, need to book it a day ahead cause it’s hidden menu. Not over priced and the portions are great!
This is really two restaurants in one. Typical Asian american, from Chinese to Thai to sushi with full bar. Seems quite popular although I didn’t try. Then on the side is a Shanghai regional home cooking menu. Chinese only menu and for full selection you need to call ahead or wechat owner. This is
Very authentic shanghainese food. The crabs we ordered were fresh and tasted good. The duck was also super good.
Went here on a whim. Came here just as they opened so fairly quiet. Ordered the shine shrimp rolls and crab Rangoon for an appetizer. Definitely my favorite crab Rangoon in the city. Not overly stuffed or oily. The shrimp rolls were great. But let em cool down because they're piping hot. Ordered
We've been regulars here for as long as there's been a Rise on Roscoe & Southport. The sushi is always fresh. And the martinis are always massive and shaken to the point of frosting the glass and flecking the vodka with shards of ice. Run, don't walk for the gomae, seaweed salad, tuna tartar, ham
