Love this hidden gem! We live in the neighborhood and eat here often, breakfast and lunch. Great food, great value, friendly staff. Salads, sandwiches made to order. (Better than walking over to Wells St, those places are overpriced.) Hi to Monica and Koz.

I stopped in here today for a late lunch after a lovely stroll to the lake. I arrived just a few minutes before closing time and they had sold out of the soup of the day (that's a good thing) so I ordered the Brie and Apple Panini. The sandwich was very good. Nice and toasted/crispy panini with gooe
I had the Chicago Fire salad. It was very good. The cafe was very clean and had good service. It was quite hot outside but inside it was very nice.
By far the best hotdog I've ever had in my whole life. The Chicago Vienna style hotdogs is the best. Nice friendly staff clean upscale feel but modest pricing. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the Chicago area!
The food was great and there was a really nice atmosphere. However, the cashier seemed somewhat condescending and expected us to be familiar with the menu.
