Wow. Soul Veg City was soul lifting! I enjoyed the experience of a lovely restaurant serving the community great food. Located on the Southside of Chicago, IL., Soul Veg City is an amazing restaurant
The food was really good (besides the cornbread). The drinks and smoothies were excellent.
The only drawback besides the 45 minutes we waited for an order was the dry cornbread.
But overall I would highly recommend this restaurant and will visit again when next in Chicago.
Playmeite can ALWAYS appreciate a delicious vegan meal. As I travel, I definitely look forward to finding all the plant based options and BAM 💥 here comes Soul Veg City. Soul food at that!

I’ve been going here for over a decade now and their service has been nothing short of excellent. The staff is friendly, and the food is some of the best I’ve ever had. This has to be my favorite place in Chicago for vegan food ever. I recommend everything, especially the mac n cheese and peach pie.
I always make sure to drop in this spot whenever I am in Chicago. The food is delicious and healthy, comfort to the max. The staff and other customers are super friendly. If you make it out Sunday for The Meal, then just sit back and enjoy a few courses of lovingly made food coming at you.
