The food was actually out of control. One of the best experiences I've had in Chicago. The flavors punch you in the face without assaulting you. Spicy wasn't too spicy. Sweet wasn't too sweet.

Overall a great experience. The tasting menu is worth the price. Only complaint was the lack of any tortillas or tacos. Mescals are abundant and interesting-have a flight or two. The tres leches cake was delicious. We had a delicious flan like dessert. Service was impressive. Tasting menu was well paced.

Absolutely phenomenal, creative dishes. We ate anything and everything for hours, had some cocktails, and it was less than $65/person. They have a chef's menu, but it worked better for us to do our own thing.

Outstanding in every way. Loved all the mezcal drinks, the clever presentation of dishes but mostly, the exquisite flavours. Great staff, high end food but low key. My ideal.

Absolutely 5 stars... I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. My wife and our friends made a 9:30 reservation last night and couldn't wait to try it out. The venue was packed and extremely lively when we'd arrived. As we walked over to our table, I glanced left and right at the different dishes on the other tables and I simply couldn't wait to be seated to take a look at the menu. The menu wasn't overly complicated as you might find at other restaurants, and had the right amount of selections. We ended up going with the scallops, lamb tacos, and the chorizo sausage. All three dishes were fantastic, as I got to try all of them. Have to say that I truly loved my tacos! In fact, we ended up another round of tacos - must try for all of you. The owner Dan swung by to check on our meal - super friendly guy. I would highly recommend Quiote to anyone. We are definitely coming back. 6 stars!

High-energy, authentic Mexican restaurant that’s become a go-to recommendation. Plus downstairs is one of the best stocked mezcal bars in the city.

My second visit here and still great. I returned here as I really enjoyed the very modern menu. Every single plate was a new delight. I particularly liked the green chorizo. All meals are served very well presented and the stuff are very knowledgeable. I've tried almost each cocktails with mezcal and they are all top notch!! I really like how dim they interiors are. This makes this place very cozy in winter. The prices are rather steep but I can justify them by great service and high quality food.

Stopped in here for lunch on a weekday last winter, and there was hardly anyone inside. We had heard good reviews about Quiote and wanted to check it out for ourselves. We opted for the tacos, and we chose three different varieties. We each had one each of the following tacos: Carne Adobada (roasted pork with adobo) Camarones (shrimp with pineapple) Suadero (brisket with salsa cruda) The tacos were $4.00 each, which is a pretty good price. They all were really good, but my favorite was the camarones (shrimp) tacos. The sweet flavor was an unexpected delight for my tongue. Definately will have this again. Three tacos was enough to fill us up without feeling stuffed. Unfortunately, the tortillas did not taste that fresh, otherwise, this would be a 5 star review. They have an sidewalk patio that I can just envison it as a perfect spot for warm weather dining. We want to come back here for dinner and experience more of the intriguing menu at Quiote.

Still so good. I haven't been here in over a year, but the food is still top notch. Service was a little touch and go, with our server disappearing for long periods of time and beverages not appearing. We went down to Do Santos after dinner and that was absolutely delightful. The "Life During Wartime" was my absolute favorite. Made with Mezcal and Scotch but so smooth and refreshing. I'll be back.
