Great experience, got free Falafel for my first visit. Thanks

Their falafel taste like heaven 😍 Kind and generous staff. We got shawarma platter and falafel. Very recommended.

Falafel Island is my favorite lunch spot! It's a huge plate of delicious food for less than $10 in The Loop--you can't beat that. It's sometimes a little busy, but the line moves fast.
Update as of July 2018: Still five stars. The quality of the food is better than it was, and the new management is doing great. It seems there are still a couple of service issues that are being worked through, but overall still a delicious lunch at a great price.

Under new management with a quality forward focus falafel island was a delightful surprise for a quick lunch. The kifta sandwich was some of the best I've ever had. Would certainly come back and couldn't recommend more highly this gem in the rough.

I really like their roasted eggplant and cauliflower. Tabulah, Babaganou, Falafels and Lentil soup is pretty good too. The only thing I don't like sometimes is the smell of cigarette smoke that seems to seep into the restaurant sometimes. I typically get my food to go.

If you're looking for delicious tasting Middle-Eastern food, this is the place. Their dishes range from $5 to almost $10. Quantity depends on your appetite. But, I've always been satisfied with the portions and I eat heartily!

Back in 2014-2015 as I was completing my bachelor's degree and working 20+ hours remotely, this was my go-to every day for lunch. The same guys didn't seem to be there when I hopped in for old times' sake, but the food was still good. Looks pretty dead in there on a Sunday.

I've only eaten the veggie combo, but I've eaten it at least a dozen times. Food is always tasty. Really like the salad and falafel. When the falafel is recently cooked, it's some of the best downtown.

Love this place. Their half roasted chicken with rice, salad and hummus is my favorite. The garlic sauce is great, the falafel is good but not the best.
