Very good Korean BBQ. The dish was very well prepared and explained by the cooker. The lettuce wrap with meet is very delicious and combine several tastes.

One of the best experiences at a restaurant I've had. The food was fantastic, but the staff made the experience. They played all my favorite songs and were so fun. Me and my siblings enjoyed the korean corn dogs too. 10 out of 10

I received fast service very polite customer service. The last course of meat had amazing flavor the first two were very plain. Being that it was my first time at a Korean bbq I kind of needed some explaining on the process. I would recommend trying it out small space tho so the voices around sound like a cafeteria. Parking in nearby lot cost about $11. Was seen with no reservations within a few minutes.

Love the atmosphere and music of this establishment. The meat portions were smaller than I expected for 4 people but the quality was good. Many, many, many side dishes!! Server service was good for water, but sometime server (who also cooks the meat) won’t be back for the meat in a timely manner. It is a bit overpriced but the location and quality make up for it.

Food was average but it’s a neat place in chinatown!
We were told it’s a pretty good Korean bbq restaurant but the food was average. I would say that the quality of the food was good, excellent services our server stopped by a few time to cook for us while we really just wanted to cook us and get the bbq experiences, overall the atmosphere was great!
if you don’t love meat there is no point to dine in a Korean bbq restaurant! The beef platter looked good with combination of succulent meats, grilled by our server with variety of sauces and side dishes!
The selection of sauces, side dishes and lettuce wraps at Daebak was great!
LOVE their corns and cheese on the side!!!!

Everyone who doesn't know, the mixed reviews are because this establishment has two floors. Downstairs where you get the street food and upstairs where you get the BBQ.
Down stairs people are very rude. But ill still be back, because as long as you deliver my food as i want it, i don't care about a bad day or the fact that you hate your job.
All my ratings 5 star rating are for upstairs. Let's go: the staff were so sweet and nice. This is actually the only location where they cook the meats for you. Not quite authentic, but still so good. I went in my meetup group! We all ate family style. The food was so delicious and the service was amazing. We had twelve people.

KPOP fans everywhere, rejoice! What a neat fun place in Chinatown! They had videos playing and a collage of pictures reminiscent of a teenage bedroom wall showcasing a bunch of artists. Food was average. The plain wings could have used a little more seasoning - they were cooked properly but needed something. They were good. The sauce covered soy wings had a hint of hoisin sauce I think I could taste. The soon hari apple drink was super sweet and tasty. We loved the themed decor here. Come for the experience. They have 2 floors of seating.

If you're looking for a delicious and satisfying Korean BBQ experience in Chicago, look no further than Daebak. My recent visit to this restaurant left me thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food, the excellent service, and the overall atmosphere.
The standout dish of the evening was the beef platter - a mouthwatering combination of succulent meats, expertly grilled and served with a variety of sauces and side dishes. The beef brisket was so good that we couldn't resist ordering another plate of it. And the veggie dumplings were equally irresistible - we ended up ordering two orders of them because they were just that good.
The selection of sauces and side dishes at Daebak is truly impressive - the various flavors and textures complemented the meats perfectly, and the lettuce wraps were a fun and tasty way to enjoy the food. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the preparation was evident in every bite.
But what really made our visit to Daebak stand out was the exceptional service. Every member of the staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive to our needs. They were happy to answer any questions we had and even provided helpful tips on how to best enjoy the food.
Overall, I highly recommend Daebak Korean BBQ for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Chicago. With its delicious food, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere, it's definitely a place that I will be returning to again and again.

I'll say I've been coming here since 2018 and its definitely had its ups and downs since but its still a great place!
The portions in my opinion are the same as they used to be, I haven't noticed a change. It does seem that prices have slight gone up by a dollar or two but that's literally anywhere you go. And tbh daebak has always been on the pricey side, every time I come I expect to drop between $60-90 with a decent tip. Plus almost 99% of the time I bring home the leftovers and eat the rest an hour or two later LOL.
I've only had pleasant interactions with most of the staff there, hosts always welcome me with a smile and the particular older lady that cooked for us last week was very sweet and kind, and talked to me about all kinds of things. I wish I had asked for her name. Honestly most the time the staff don't talk to you at all (besides checking in on you, taking your order) unless its your first time at a kbbq and as an introvert myself I particularly enjoy this aspect.
It's a small and cozy place with great ambiance, I'll agree it can get crowded especially when your waiting for a table but most times in my experience hosts have taken my number and said I can walk around if I'd like while I wait and I almost always do.
I'm really not sure what all these reviews are but I can only imagine they're from ignorant/impatient people or never worked in food service people, or first time kbbq-ers. If it's your first time doing kbbq I would definitely recommend trying an all you can eat kbbq!
But I myself have introduced (and I literally counted) 14 different people to this kbbq spot and they all love it as well!
