Market House

We entered at 4:15pm, when only the bar was functioning. Was offered menus then served at a lounge table with wife & child. Service was great! The food was very good. Reuben, Chi-town steak sandwich, chicken strips. All was tasty. Nothing seemed like it came from a freezer. Attentive bartender. Free cookies for the kid.

Fresh and I mean fresh ingredients. Markethouse has their own garden on the 6th floor. I've been here a few times for lunch. They have a great lunch special. It's a sandwich and soup combo for $9! They have a pretty extensive menu for lunch. One of my favorite dishes is the gourmet mac-n-cheese. I know it sounds simple but oh man, it's soooo delicious. And they guarantee that they will get you in and out in 30 minutes for those that need to get back to work. The service is always great and there's usually no wait for lunch. I was fortunate enough to attend 2 cooking demonstrations by their executive chef, Scott Walton. He's so down to earth and friendly. He even emailed me his recipe for the mac-n-cheese but I'm sure mine won't turn out as good as his. I can't wait to go back and try their dinner.
